Cool

My company is about to put a 3 year old 2.0 Litre Golf GTi up for sale to the highest bidder, it is Indigo Blue, has 77k on the clock with a full service history. Normally I wouldn't consider one of our cars, but the guy who has been runnig this one has kept it immaculate and my wife is looking for a Golf to replace her Ka.

Any suggestions as to how high I bid before it stops being viable?

Check out glasses guide:

They do a mileage fix as well. Seemed to be around £7k for average miles dropping to 5-6k for higher miles.

Cheers chaps

Apparently they've been offered 5600 against a new Anniversary, I was initially thinking in the region of 5900, and according to Glass's this is still 1.5-2k, so I should be safe at that.

The funny thing is, the mileage goes against it at resale time, but having driven it on several occasions since it was bought, I've noticed that it's only in the last 15k or so that it has started loosening up properly

Only thing about that model (and I've got an NB, same engine etc) is it is a slugger of an old engine. It's only called a GTi in this country. So you pay higher insurance for what is an old design 2.00litre which relativly chews threw fuel and only produces 115BHP from an 8 valve engine. Not so bad for me at least the NB looks funky and has full leather etc. Much better off getting a Golf 1.6SE or 1.8T IMHO or of course an NB, going cheap now frienly owners club... no...
