Default EK9 Type R vs EK4 SiR

Anyone driven both?

I know the Type R has 20PS more, but is it that much more of a developed/'better' car than its 'father' overall (e.g. ride, handling, brakes, etc, etc)?

Any opinions, etc, much appreciated....

I know next to nothing about the Honda versions but their sister versions, Rover 200 and 400 were probably amongst the best 4 cars ever made by Rover (P 1 and SD1 being the other two) along with the 75 which is a 5 series BMW in a different frock, shame the brand died just when it made some of it's best cars.

Oh and I'd rather the EK4 gen / CRX which I have spent some time in as my mates crazy Swiss Italian girlfriend had one, man did that thing shift on mountain roads.

A genuine SiR are harder to come by than an Ek9, but in terms or difference there isn't much in it over just an Ek4 i didn't think. Ek9 would be the sensible option for an investment as they are gradually going up in price plus the spec difference to am SiR.

I have owned both.
Get the EK9 it feels like a proper type r and the B16B engine has more of an edge to it then the B16A.

The seats are better and the driving feels like you are in a proper racing car.
The EK4 is a lot watered down then the Ek9.

But the best of the lot is a JDM DC2 Integra Type R.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks masaf.

Yeah, evo (nee, Performance Car at the time) said -- and I'm paraphrasing here -- that the EK9 "feels like driving a DC2...but whilst wearing gloves and wellies!" (IIRC).
