Last time I looked (which was only last week ) they're at around £6k. I've always fancied one but it'll never happen.

Yep any hot hatch from the 80's seem to have gone through the roof price wise. Would love a S1 escort turbo.

80's/90's hot hatches have rocketed up. I sold my Corrado VR6 Storm around 18 months ago, a good honest example had only 95k FSH 2 Owners. Sold it at £2600 and looks like I will have to pay double that now to get one as good !Therefore looking at golf VR6 as an alternative as they dont seem to have shot up in price as much as the Corrados.

If only I had kept my XR3i
My Xr2
My Renault 5 Turbo.
My Cossie
Ah well , its a bit late now.
Don't think my Focus or Berlingo will have the same appeal in 20 years.....

Oh , nearly forgot the 1600 Sport Escort mk2 would be worth about £15k as well if I had kept it..
Shiser.....

1990 1.9gti I've had it about 7 years and love it but it's been off the road a couple of years due to having to use a"family car " I've just lost my garage so I'm currently looking at alternative storage or I might have to wave goodbye to it this year. Lots of people have advised me that whatever I pay in storage I will get back eventually though.
Hoping to get some time to do a few little bits to tidy it up this year, but I've said that for the past 2 years.

Hi mate,
just been getting a few jdm cars this last year or so. I've noticed prices in Japan shooting up aswell now plus the fact that value of the pound has dropped also.

This R5 owes me more than my old V5 Type-R I bought 12 months ago...! Not seen one go through before but as it was a Grade 4 with low miles (76KM's / 46k Miles) I had to have it. Like most of us on this thread I think we all owned / grew up with these car so bought it. A sort of heart over head purchase but hey ho... its all good fun

There is a large supply of american / european cars that go through regularly as well as the usual scoobes / evo / skyline etc..

As did my old MG Metro which was my very first car, the thing with most 80's hot hatches now however, is that most modern non performance hatchbacks would be way quicker.

I also owned an 1984 MK.1 XR3i, now that thing did feel fast, but in reality wasn't.

I would still love to own a decent 80's RS Cosworth though.
