Default Mini JCW has landed

Well its here, went to get it at 5PM ish, i have to say the handover from JCT600 in Bradford was sterling, sent me a video this morning then went into infinite detail on everything it does... a lovely reveal

The stereo or Infotainment system in the Mini is something to behold it does practically everything, facebook Twitter, torque graphs and boost gauges, tells me when ive changed gear and what I'm doing wrong, basically builds up a table of dos and donts.

I think its the same as the new BMWs, but as MB are a little behind the times this is mega...

Power wise, obviously iw ont get above myself and say its like the 45 cos it isn't, However its a weird feeling more diesel esk, the torque hits at 1250 revs so very very usable and fun, infact ive never had this before weird really.... Nip in and out of traffic.

Adaptive dampers or Magnetic ride as its called is nice...

The engine i found out today is the exact same that's in the BMW 428I but detuned. Anything that's detuned gets me excited as it now has lots of potential LOL....

Ill upload some pictures tomorrow and the video....

Boots small get a few bags in it.

So I used mini connected today very nice indeed, not having anything BMW before they have nailed it, I had Spotify Twitter Facebook all seemless with stereo. I also get 3 racing dial graph type things telling me boost, lbft, NM and G force at each end of the car... Must use iPhone's accelerometer for that stuff... So far it's good... And once it's 300bhp it will be much better

I'm not, I'd like an M2 but cost servicing all that stuff, not for me anymore N, a 300 a month mini is enough for now.

But ask me again in 12 months LOL

I'm unsure if they do to be honest. they may do, but i,ll be honest and say i was trying to keep it to a minimum.

Damn you know my name

I know you all thought i was called Littleted...

Extras
adaptive dampers
Visual Boost stereo ( most have this cos it looks ****e otherwise )
harmon Kardon Spekaers
heated seats ( on setting 3 it burns my back )
auto wipers and lights
keyless access
armrest
Mini Connected
John cooper stripes
Black Alloys Track style ( didn't want diamond cut or run flats so went 17s )

and its Manual
The extras seem like a lot but there cheap as chips compared to my A45.
Did 700 miles this weekend in it, was great fast fun and kinda does everything in 6th gear cos torques there low down.

Itll do me till i get bored but wife will have it i know shes already in it more than hers ...

Is it really worth messing with? Not like you're going to get anywhere near the A45 poke, thought the idea was a cheaper more normal car? Sod screwing the warranty.

Just pretend it came with 30bhp less than its got now and you've already upped the power lol

i wouldn't go that far, it would give a stock a run for its money i think, because all the grunt is from 1250 RPM, remap your 45 and i don't think so.

I think once i map it and the 0-60 goes to 4.6 it wont be as fast but i,ll always be in ya Mirror...

Diff class of car IMO A45 is premium, but for me it was too much of a premium for what i used it, I'm saving 300 quid a month with my Mini, which means more toys. Once honeymoons period wears off with any car only the cost grinds at you...

Put it to the test then.

I'll run down the high street with my clothes off if a JCW keeps up with the A45.
