Wifey's got the Insignia SRI VX-Line estate.
Quite pokey tbh, although not in the same league as mine
The only downside we've found with it is that the claimed MPG of 70ish, is a joke..
43.6 is the best I've got so far - and that's after putting 11k on the clock. Might be different after the 1st service in the a couple of months. We'll see.
But it's a minor issue.

Our Astra H 1.9cdti 150 estate served us well for four years. Rubbish interior but it handled and went well.
Swirl flap failure at 38k miles was sorted under warranty but dealt with SO badly, I'll never buy a Vauxhall again.
The car itself was fairly good though and the latest ones look quite good.

Everyone is at it. The industry standard for passing these tests bear no resemblance to real life conditions. You can't realistically expect a MK6 with a 35% weight increase and larger diameter/width wheels, leather, aircon, electric everything, but same sized engine to give 20 odd mpg more than an older MK3 that had less emissions control regulations. It's all smoke and mirrors and it's genuinely alarming how many people fall for it. But because it's been signed off it must be true.........

agreed. But a near 30mpg difference is a lot.
first soot-chucking Vauxhall I've had, and to be honest, it's been great. V comfy, lots of toys, responsive, good drive. I would have another, for sure.
And putting it into perspective, my Porsche gets a LOT less to the gallon

if you do the Miles Norm then yes good, if you don't then BAD, both wife Zafira elite same engine and my dads astra elite both had DPF issues and EGR valve changes....

Agreed.
TBH, that's the same with 99% of new diesels. DPFs don't like short runs.
FWIW, my Wife drives the Insignia - only had it 6 or 7 months - she's racked up 11k
