Default A45AMG: There's a storm coming.....

Hi all,
I can't give too much away at the moment but I'm about to embark on a very exciting "project" in respect of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.

There will be a multitude of information produced, and made available to you guys, to allow you to be a part of this exciting journey.

Whilst not the only medium that will be utilised, a YouTube channel has now been made live (with a teaser video and initial "as is" A45 AMG review). This will be supplemented with a traditional "Project Thread" in the near future, alongside other exciting media.

There will be some very exciting announcements published very soon, in respect of who will be part of this journey with us.

I hope you enjoy the journey as it unravels.

Buckle up and hold on......... it's about to get serious!

If power related, do you think the power band can be kept as effective as it is with bigger turbos? The linearity of throttle pedal and torque can be lost somewhat as you get towards 200 BHP/litre IMHO even with modern engine tech. It would be easy to actually make the car worse?

Variable vane billet or titanium turbos.

This will be mild to wild John, so we'll see how things pan out.

You can have an opinion.... as long as it's the same as mine!

Seriously though..... with this kind of thing I have done in the past, the interaction is a key part of it. I don't want to be talking to a brick wall.

Ditch,
Did you REALLY think this time would be any different!?

So who's sponsoring you then?

Oh and find some better rims, I think AMG could have chosen a better suited rim for the hatch

I can see yes, same on most a45s they are nice but I think they could do better imo. But if you're happy

And No, you were like a crack ***** in rehab when when you got this car, it was only a matter of time before you went back to your old ways, when it comes to modding you just can't get enough, you just changed dealer and went slightly more UP market.

Variable vane on a petrol engine?

Tell me more

Last I heard of these attempts ended in the idea being scrapped. Having myself messed with a few VNTs on diesels I can attest to how fussy these things are if not setup correctly.

Yeah, but nobody else seems to have quite mastered it yet. Especially aftermarket.

I guess its not helped with them being banned in Formula one - or maybe not (patents etc).

Agree^^^^ out of all the hot hatches out there today, this would be my choice without a doupt, even if it does look a bit girly shaped
Litchfield should make an interesting piece from it.
