The "circle" may increase as required depending upon what work is done (testing), what developments take place and who is best placed to be involved.
I'd like to run some comparison product tests, but I suspect "other" tuners may not want to offer up this type of facility with me.

You referring to the FB stuff?
It's probably because I'm an unknown within "their" scene tbh. It's one of those things.
Perhaps when they see the kind of information that will be made available and hopefully the developments that could be made, they may just change their opinion.
There doesn't seem to be many inquisitive minds in the community...... perhaps the results I gain, information I provide and discussions I try to invoke, may start to open up those types of conversation.

Hi all,
I can't give too much away at the moment but I'm about to embark on a very exciting "project" in respect of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.
There will be a multitude of information produced, and made available to you guys, to allow you to be a part of this exciting journey.
Whilst not the only medium that will be utilised, a YouTube channel has now been made live (with a teaser video and initial "as is" A45 AMG review). This will be supplemented with a traditional "Project Thread" in the near future, alongside other exciting media.
There will be some very exciting announcements published very soon, in respect of who will be part of this journey with us.
I hope you enjoy the journey as it unravels.
Buckle up and hold on......... it's about to get serious!

Can see why you did it, sometimes feel the same when looking at getting into tuning a marque in which I'm not known, but it reads a bit like marketing blurb for something too good to be true, let's cut to the meat please
I cannot see how tuning boxes work well on modern ECUs, would love to see some good datalogging. Many modern cars don't have MAF sensors and rely on pre and post throttle pressure sensors and temperature sensors, with calculations to work out airflow. With these pressure sensors being manipulated, you could reshape the pressure sensor curves so that the ECU aims for extra boost. But it will surely make positive fuel trims based on lambda feedback and ignition retard based on knock feedback when it underfuels and over advances because the main load signal is artificially low.
On an old Scooby, it will fuel and time from the MAF sensor and you can raise the boost with a tighten of the actuator and fooling the MAP sensor, but it isn't tied down (presumably) MED17 which has lots of paranoid cross checks for plausibility, safety, torque monitoring, component protection.

John,
Natural reaction when you're an unknown can be "who the **** does this guy think he is". It's a fine line trying to get across my intention, without sounding like a tool, but at the same time getting a new audience to take you seriously, or be interested.
My project threads are as much about fun and community involvement, as they are revealing the in's and out's etc. I hope people find my threads entertaining as well as informative.
In respect of your last bit...... wrong thread - stick it in the project thread! The points you raise are EXACTLY what I want to understand and delve in to.

Wim Essing is already on to the A45 AMG with his tuning boxes.
I only know 'cos I fit 'em and seen it pop up in the applications database. Normally I have to program and fit them with a eco maps on diesel vans My experince with these has shown they do work, if programmed suitably. Both on petrol (direct injection) and diesel.
