Son has a 2003 Mk4 Ibiza 1.9 Tdi with the climatronic (?) zircon system.
Last week the children told him the dvd players had stopped working so he pulled into services and twiddled wires and all came to life again..journey resumed. He then realised that the aircon was not working ! Next day he checked all fused..OK.
System seems very complicated but it was regassed last year and he didn't think it would just stop working without some warning. Any ideas he might try before making VAG dealer wealthy ! ?? Any simple and easy way to self check that the system still has gas in it for example ?

Could by the A/C high pressure switch, usually on the right hand side of the aircon condenser (as you look at the car)


It tells the system whether to turn on the compressor or not,
