Before i go out an buy an impreza i've been shopping around for insurance and it's a **** take tbh, Apparantly i live in a high risk post code (WA) but i've never claimed in my life, have a clean licence with 9 years experience and 7 years no claims bonus.

Cheapest quotes i've been able to find are in the region of £1200 for an 03 plate wrx but that's with a tracker fitted and my girlfriend as the main user... without a tracker it's closer to 2k

Does anyone else share the same postcode as myself and who have you found to be the cheapest?

Try sainsburys insurance mate, they was the cheapest for me

None of the specialists on the forums could do anything for me due to my BB postcode

Yeah Sainsburys was coming back the cheapest but they stated a tracker must be fitted

Yeah I had to pay a registration fee to transfer my details to the tracker, also had to pay an annual subscription fee.

So on top of my insurance I've had to pay £179 to sort the tracker out

But it still worked out cheaper than any other quotes I had

I live in WA and get mine from Moley - under £800 on a modified policy on a WRX, that is social use only and limited mileage as its a weekend car. No tracker required either. They are fairly pointless nowadays anyway.

I changed to Swinton from AFlux. They were cheaper but not as good as AFlux. I'm in M24 so insurance is a real pain. Modded is £705. £800 cos I pay per month.

Lad in work lives in a wa postcode an I live in L35 postcode. I've got a sti (scooby that is an not a disease haha) an I pay 1. Whereas he was qouted 2k for a bmw diesel. Best bet is move house its cheaper haha

5000 miles max per year.

Found a loop hole in the insurance,

Rally insurance.

Join a motor club for £10 per year. Tell the insurance company your using it for auto tests. Doesnt matter how many mods etc you have on your motor.

When I got my classic back in 2002 a tracker was a must have just to get insurance. Since using Moley I havent needed one - yes it does reduce premiums but what it reduced it by you pay for the tracker subscription and do you really want your car back after some ****** has ragged it??? I have also been insured with A-Plan and had plenty of quotes where I have not required a tracker.
The point being that these days people are aware of them and they can easily be blocked so are not the deterrent they once where hence a lot of insurance companies not requiring them.

£515 fully comp with Liverpool Victoria, I have had a previous accident and also have business use and living on the Wirral. I do have a tracker which is amazing, it moved 2 inches when having new wheels fitted and the phone call was instant it's all you mad blokes, us women don't drive like nutters

This might sound silly but go on the Aviva website and get a quote there - I am in PR6 and was the same (1000-1200 with most insurers including all the 'club specialists' etc).
