I've been reminded that many of you live quite close to the Scottish border, and may be interested in coming up for some of our forthcoming events

May 18th - Endurance karting at Raceland, SE of Edinburgh. 4 hour race in teams of 6, twin engined karts, 930m outdoor track. £50 per driver/£300 per team.

May 26th Kames Sprint track, near Muirkirk on the A70 towards Ayr. It's actually a shorter drive timewise for people near Liverpool/Preston that it is for me in Aberdeen !! £20 buys you unlimited runs on the track all day. Either BBQ lunch, or nearby pub. Good social atmosphere, and some nice roads on the way to get there

June 20th - Knockhill race track. Evening session for only £35.

July 20th - Knockhill race track. Saturday morning session, only £65, open pit lane with free instruction, tyre support vehicle etc.

July 26th/27 - Kames double header weekend. Run track clockwise one day, anti-clockwise the next. Overnight camping on site, with a big BBQ/party (bring your own booze and food etc) until the early hours of the morning (it will barely get dark at this time of year!). £20 per day to drive on track, nothing to just come along for the party.

We've also got some other events like Treasure hunts, clay shooting/karting/off-roading/quad-bikes/BBQ planned for the summer months as well.

We did all meet up a few years ago for the Scotish/NW meet, which was a fantastic day out We should do it again sometime!

Hi John

Nice to see you taking an interest in our little orphan group Gives an excuse for that trundle over the border I keep promising myself.

Should be mailing you re the IOM bash anyway. Just final stage negotiations with Shirley this w/e. BTW will this trip mean no 2002 Tour de Coss?

Hi John,

One of the girls at work has just cancelled her holiday at the end of May so I will try and make it up for Kames.

Thumbs up

Banshi - IOM will be a cracking event. I'm expecting lots of people from this forum to come along, since the ferry ports are literally on their doorstep

TDE - nothing planned as yet. I normally don't start the arrangements until about August/September time anyway, so may leave it until after the IOM, and see how much interest there is, particularly from those on the IOM trip.

Graham - be great to see you up at Kames

Michelle - thanks for the plug See you tomorrow at Knockhill.

OK John were on for the IOM. Sort out details and deposits over the weekend.
We'll probably take longer to get on the ferry than get to it.

Chell, received nothing from u. I respond even if it's only with a variety of expressions ending with off
The only message I've ignored is one sent whilst I was in Catalunya and unless you've become, how can I put it.. uncharacteristically amorous I don't think that was yours

I did send you a couple, but don't worry they wouldn't (or shouldn't ) have provoked an ending with off response, nor did I get amorous

Here is a wee taster of what beautiful scenery you guys are missing out on.

I am going to make the effort to go up to Kames and also attend the Tour D'Ecosse before I leave, so I expect you lot to have a go too
