Once again thanks to g+h for a great day out.Its just a shame that one individual, you know who you are, had to spoil things.we all like have a good drive and get the most out our cars on the road as safely as we can, obviously its not the track so we must take care and caution where needed, and respect the lives of other road users.I was in a group of 4 cars and we came up behind traffic,i was 2nd in the group, the car in front overtook and then i came up behind the (sunday driver), it wasnt safe to overtake so i held back waiting for a suitable place, at this time we were approaching a blind bend when all of a sudden the car from the back of the pack overtook all 3 of us AROUND A BLIND BEND!.I could not belive it,what a totally reckless move without any consideration for all our lives, this really sickened me.
I didnt want to post this but feel i have to for the safetey of others, its happened before and there are people in aggreement, thats its out of order, these meets are organised by proffesional responsible people, and if this is the sort of driver that they attract, i dont want any part of it, i would rather go for a drive on my own.
Im not trying to put the mockers on a good day out ,but safetey of other peoples lives is paramount.
A ROLL CAGE WILL NOT SAVE YOU WHEN YOU SLAM INTO A TRACTOR AT 90mph.
REGARDS,
SK

I dont think that a post like this will do anything at all other than to bring the reputation of the runs into disrepute again.

As i found out on the infamous York run, people have different perspectives on whats safe and what isnt.If your not happy with what an idividual is doing/driving like in your group then slow down, let them past and continue on at a safe distance, prehaps waiting for the next group behind and tag onto them.

Theres little else than i can really say, i`m sorry to hear that you had your day spoiled by another driver on the run, we have all done things that looking back where prehaps irresponsible or dangerous, and once again i feel that posting this kind of message on Scoobynet will do nothing at all for the future of these brilliant runs.

Rich.

Not wanting to name the individual.... s'funny seing as though I'm the only one with a Roll cage in a car that you clearly point out !

The overtaking manoevre was done safely, being at the rear I was able to see clearly up ahead and around the UP SWEEPING bend...you did not !

Funny to as before that overtaking manoevre you were driving your WHITE EVO at fantastically great high speeds in the wet and around blind bends yourself....I had to back off at one stage as I was finding it difficult with the water spray etc....

So it sounds like sour grapes to me sunshine....you were determined to push your lovely beastie but in the end it was no match for the Mellowmobile travelling at lower speeds

*Rant mode on *

Now grow up and in future if you have a problem take it up with the individual face to face rather than doing it in the comfort of your padded room safe behind your P.C....

To$$er !

*Rant mode off*

Sorry in advance to all the peeps having to read this crap

I notice in your Rant you say these meets are organised by Proffesional responsible people,
Mellow organised the Lakes Run and did the Run 3 or 4 times to get it bang on. The more I think of it, the more I can see your dummy on the dash.

I have just thought, Why do we call Evo drivers "Boys"??
Timspeed, give Jenny at RC a ring and tell her MR Terzo told you to call about your Rear pads and "negotiate a 10% discount"

SK

Fortunately (or not) I had my video cam running from the start to approx halfway....

The manouvre you have slated me for is clearly visable and more importantly shows that the road ahead was clear and safe, RichW himself was just about to overtake but was waiting patiently for you to commence first so like the gentleman he is waited....I've never been known as a gentleman except were the ladies are concerned

What is interesting is that as I have said above, prior to my manoevre you yourself a great speeds and through standing water overtook on a blind left bend !!!! It's here to see clearly...it makes your bum twitch just watching it

Anyone who wants to pile over to my place for a cream cake and a coffee are welcome to view....that includes you SK !

Then you'll be able to appologise publically then eh ?

Umm...cream cakes - lovely

Sounds like I missed a great day out - SK stop throwing your toys out of the pram you knobber, it must be nice being a law abiding, safe driving citizen. I will look out for you doing 29mph all the time, and never making an error or mis-judging anything (which is NOT what happened by the sound of things - I know Chris's driving and I am sure he knew what was happening with the road and conditions)

Any chance of mpeg?? or a copy so I can convert it?? would love to convert it so you can really pi5s someone off.. Should be grateful I wasnt there as my idea of fun is trying to provoke a car sideways.... Being banned doesnt help either though.. so I have to do it from the passenger seat... (Dual controls and removeable steering wheel next! )

LMFAO @ you all....thanks....I needed that...cheered me up no end

Seriously...for all you locals (N.West) make a night of it up here at sunny Hollingworth Lake...the vid'll be on...all the cakes you've ordered...then we'll retire to the pub across the road (The Beech) for some scram....then across the Lake to the Fishermans Inn for their Karaoke nite (Thursdays only )....wicked fun for sure...ask Rich Wild ....

We have a bag of sugar Andy that has so far lasted us best part of 2 years so you're OK

Not being a techie (well clever ) I was bought a Canon 450i for Xmas and can just about point and film with it....I'm happy to lend the cassette to someone who'd like to format/sort it

Can I also add that this ain't and EVO v SCOOB thing....I have many friends in the Evo "world" and we have mutual respect for our lovely motors

Cheers

Chris
