Great idea.
Open to suggestions from any scooby owners up here in the sunny North East.
A regular meet(as some areas have) i.e. First monday of the month at a local venue, normally a friendly pub. With a view to arranging more successful outings like last Sunday.
Lets keep this thread to the top with plenty of ideas.

Hey up guys,
I agree with Paul we have got to keep things going before it fades into a long distance memory. A meeting once a month sounds good for a start, lets hope we can get more people interested and get a real good thing going over these summer months

Things are picking up speed.
Sedgefield sound a great place. Easy access from all directions.
How about second monday of the month. That will avoid Easter and make it 8th April.
Who knows the names of the pubs?

The 8th sounds good to me, If everybody agrees we only need the pub. Harvey are you taking charge of this meet and once we have it we can sort something out then. Jonny not yet mate been to a christening today cant see very straight at the moment, tomorrow for deff.

What about having an area representative or Chairman? He/She would be able to organise events, meets etc.
I would be willing to do this, if anyone agrees I will speak to the SIDC about putting this in place.

Jamie i think SIDC has a North East Organiser is name is Jason Birks (tel number removed). You could try and get in touch with him and see if he's still doing it, if not i cant see why you cant step into his shoe's.

I am no longer the North East Rep, sold my Scooby last November, in the latest issue of True Grip, there is no one listed for the North East, Jamie the Guy to contact about this is johnb@sidc.co.uk

OK: 8th April 20.30 if that is good for everyone. Sedgefield.
I will go round there tomorrow & check out the pub with the big car park. I think it is the Dun Cow & will confirm on here.

Im happy with this Harvey,at least it's a start and if Jamie contacts the SIDC to find out what's the right direction to take,we should hopefully start to get the foundations laid to bigger and better things.

There really must be more than ten scooby owners in the North East interested in having a regular meet and chatting about out beloved motors.
