Is there a meet up point for those heading to the big one on April 7th.

If we have a bit of interest I think I will go.

Feeling much better now

Rugby - on a sunday? - you must be confusing me with one of those nasty rough 13-a-side fellows

Nothing on at the moment that w/e - I'll see what 'the boss' says - she seems to think these things consist of people standing around with their heads under other peoples bonnets (phanr! phanr!) going ooooOOOhhh! (strange girl!)

Nikko,
Yep, we're going down for this. Don't mind meeting up with you scooby lot
M62 Birch sounds like a fairly logical meeting place. What time?

Some quick autoroute cals for you.

Warrington to BigOne
Route : M6->A50
Miles: 93
Time: 2hrs10mins

Warrington to BigOne
Route : Across Peak District
Miles: 80
Time: 3hrs20mins

Warrington to BigOne
Route : M62->Birch Services->M1
Miles: 130
Time: 2hrs30mins

I dont mind meeting up at Birch Services but it seems out of the way. What does everyone else think. Or Have I got the route wrong from Birch Services. Might have to Plan some fuel stops for Andy if we stop at Birch .

Also I doubt very much that it would take over three hours for a bunch of scoobs and EVOs to get across the peak district.

Peak District it is then

Will still probably have to stop for fuel though. 80 miles is pusing it on a full tank....

The plan is to met up at Birch east at 0900, then shoot over
snake pass onto woodall services to meet up with everyone else at 1100, that should give us plenty of time to get down to notts.

Another quick autoroute calc for the birch then across snake pass run gives us.

Miles: 110
Time: 2hrs30mins

Which is only a little bit further and snake pass is

So I think this sounds good. (didnt fancy all day on the motorway thats why I suggested the other way.)
Craft I'll be seeing you there mate.

Andy, Steve and Nick. Birch services ok with you?

Nick,
Fine by me but 110 miles at full on pace will need a fuel stop but if I slow down to keep up with you scoobies then I should have plenty of petrol left

Blimey,
I've missed out here guys.....
Musta been workin instead of readin Scoobynet.I'll have to cut that out!
I'm up for this anyway.Nikko,I agree with you about it being outta the way but don't mind if everybody else wants to meet up at Birch. So,shall the Warrington lot meet up in Warrington somewhere and then convoy across to Birch or just head straight to the big one?
Mr Myers - I've just emailed you about this!
Andy - I'll chat to you Thursday about it........

Nikko, once we agree a route I suggest you (Or I can do it if you want) create a new post so that we can get a feel for how many people are going from the Warrington area.

Rob O Neill - Are you goin mate?

Cheers,

Nick..

P.S: I think M6 , A50 is best for us lads. There's no speed cameras on the A50 either (Or there wasn't when I went down it in Jan this year )
Any comments?

What about a meeting place/time in Warrington then?

I'm going from Warrington, but probably down the A6 at less than full-on pace to avoid covering my back seat in child vomit, which is what almost happened last meet I went to. See you there !

Anyone care to join me, get in touch.

P.S. L555BAT, I don't suppose your car is a green Prodrive Turbo with big gold wheels and and an RA gearbox is it ? Previously featured in Performance Car some years ago ?

How about this suggestion.

Meet up in Warrington McD's opposite Firestation ready to leave at 08:30hrs.

Then we drive down M62 to Birch Servies to meet up with the rest(09:00hrs).

Then onto the Big One.

Then the journey home could be across the shorter A50 route.

Edited to include some times.

Nice one....
Guys?
8.30 on a sunday mornin though

Will there be enough room on Mcdonalds car park though in case we have a good turnout like the trip to Oulton the other week? How about meeting on the Matalan carpark just opposite?

Cheers,

Nick..

Oooh,
Let me see then. to get to McD's for 8:30 I'd have to leave the house at approximately 8:25....

Sounds like an ideal meeting place to me.

I live in Farnworth, Widnes, but my girlfriend lives over the road from the Maccy's on Winwick road, so I shall probably hear you on Sunday morning ! I'd love to join you, but I have this aversion to child vomit, so I'm under instruction to drive slowly :-(

I ask about your car, because a friend had the car I described, and I think his reg was similar.

Tony are you one of the guys from widnes I was chatting to at Oulton Park.

Join us I dont think we will be going fast enough to induce vomiting. Unless there has been copious amounts of pink milkshake consumed.
