I will just add a bit to that John none of this would be possible without the subaru clubs and community in general who have over the years been very supportive to this event which just started as a crack in a pub,the level on the club stands goes up and up every year god knows where they get their ideas from a big thankyou to all involved.

Great result for the Charity, Sue Ryder. Bigger and better than last year with an excellent standard on the stands and cars entering the "show classes". Once again a pleasure to be part of "The NBO".

Oh yes I woke at 412am and laid there my mind more active then usual listening for the famous Flat four and anti lag ,instead at 437 am I heard the distinctive sounds from 3 yorkshire men talking about the size and quality of their exhaust pipes
What I love to here is total commitment from everyone involved even at silly o clock time
In the far distance the D&G boys rather then play the bagpipes were singing australian songs and drinking fosters lager in preparation for their Aussie theme which was superb
everyone has great memories and funny moments mine was when Nigel and Nippy (his wheelchair) and me were directing traffic and this blue scooby ignored us went behind us and drove through the railings of the <hallowed> Arena and parked up by himself
we asked him to move to the correct place, dumped it at a row near the TTS stand and came and asked the ''where is the toilets ? ''
Classic

Charity Total
Hi All,
The official count is now over (mine was a quick tally for Lord Harding to post up) and we've made more than previously mentioned!
The grand total is £8338.16.
The money will be paid into Sue Ryder's account and I'll post up a PDF of the receipt as soon as possible.
I'd like to pass on a massive Thanks to all who donated on the door and bought raffle tickets.
I'd also like to Thank all the clubs who ran separate fund raising events and the volunteers (Michelle, Michelle and Vicki) who travelled over from the N West to help out.
Well done everybody - You've set a very impressive target for us to smash next year

FANTASTIC NEWS CHRIS ##########
Thats great news chris talking to Grant and Amy who raised something like 24k for the Mcrae charitys mean we must now all step up a gear
I was secretly hoping for 7k for NBO7 and 8k for next years NBO 8 so now we are ahead of targets so we must sit down and think of even more money raising ideas for the NBO concept .
I will start the oficial NBO feedback tonight after I emptyed both Subarus of all the stuff and get them washed and polished up after the fantastic weekend events .

thats a fantastic amount, well done everyone that participated
John dont be daft and compare yourself to what we've done,
the NBO is a totally different type of event from the Gathering and both are motivated by different reasons.
fundraising is tricky to balance at the best of times and it depends a lot on the circumstances and the willingness of people to donate their money.
I'd say you've got a winning formula for the NBO, keep it going

STi-Tom, I didn't win any of the prizes back that I donated. I got the bonnet from Prodrive to help raise money for charity. Next time it will be me donating it, seeing I won it, so I can help to raise more money for charity.
Maybe its because I bought more raffle tickets in the 1st place
