Hi mate

depending where you are the wyiocs meet at sherburn tonight i think and there a good set of people ,, and theres a large group of us that meet once a month although were not really a club we just meet and have good time and enjoy our cars we are on the forum that quartz as put above feel free to join us , just be careful about some clubs and speak to people first before joining others

Think there may be another Subaru based club in the area too, but I just can't remember the name of it now

Thank you for all your replys, I live in Sherburn in elmet, but only recently moved to the area , which club would be the one nearest to me?? I am wanting a club who attend shows , but one that i will be able to bring my daughter along with me, as i have recently been divorced, and i have access to her on weekends.

well mate i say go on the forums and see what youthink but eyioc and wyioc both do shows and runs out although eyioc is not a club its just a forum with people who meet regualar feel free to log on

As Yatsey says the WYIOC's are a great bunch as are the EYIOC. The cars aren't bad either

Don't be pushed into any club Try out a few different meets and get a feel for the people and what the clubs is about before you commit.

You are most welcome HJL. Sadly as we are so busy at the moment we haven't been very active with the group. They are a club and do lots of shows etc. Why don' t you pop along to their meet tomorrow and see what they are all about.

Good luck with a babysitter for tomorrow.

If you are free on Saturday, we are having a little open afternoon in Elvington, it would be a good way for you to meet new people.

Hiya HJL. You wouldnt need a babysitter to come along to a NYSOC meet we are a family club run by familys for people with familys and Subarus. There will be at least 6 children there tonight ranging from 8 weeks - 9 years old.

You are welcome to come a long and have a drink with us and meet the members and the cars.


The reason Mick C maybe pmd you instead of openly posting on the forum about a a club which isnt based on the Scoobynetforum would be in respect to the owners of the forum. NYSOC do have their own forum and website but dont actively advertise the fact openly on other forums or websites. A discreet pm to the member asking the question is much better than blatant advertising for all to see Dont think we dont want you to come join us its just that we dont advertise being a family club with children we like to know our members as Im sure you can well understand being a parent yourself.

As I say come along tonight, if you want directions then please pm myself and I will help. The venue wont be advertised on here as our children will be there

Thank you Girl in Scoob for your reply, do you have a threard on Scooby net where i can have a look at your club, like wyioc do as i have been able to see there forum and have chance to see what they are about and where they meet, and have long they have been up and running for etc they seem a very friendly club, like i'm sure nysoc is.

But mmmm 20 quid for a burger is pretty steep in my books .....

but as preivious people have said .. you dont have to join 1 club and stay ... you can be a active member on all clubs .. more the merrier i say ... but certain clubs have a 1 club rule ... dont join any other clubs or else your be banned for life and no chance of a refund ...

hope those books are in order !!!!

hello fella. from my personal experiences, i can recommend a few clubs which ive been made to feel welcome (despite driving around in a french car )

all the above are friendly clubs which have a family atmosphere and fiendly faces. the eyioc and yspcd are essentially the same club, as the yspcd section is show going while the eyioc is the forum sort of thing. im a member on both and also humber jap cars too.

from the members ive spoken too, the wyioc are one of the best clubs around, and i would be a member were it not for me currently being scoobless.

just go to a couple of meets and see what the atmosphere is like. feel free to pm me if you want any more info dude.
