Default Micklehead meet thursday 11th October

Are we having one

Is the Micklehead open again or are they still refurbishing it ?

Who knows, stay tuned to find out

I will have a look tomorrow to see if/when it is back open, but if not any suggestions (Walton Arms perhaps) instead?

Hurrah, hopefully as a Beefeater the food will improve The Morris Dancers going into Southport was recently done up Beefeater stylee and is very nice...
The Micklehead was known for its, warm expensive beer and cheap cold food... Would be nice for them to get them the right way round this time
I would love to come but I dont own a scooby and dont live in Tellins anymore

Enjoy

Just been round and the new signs have gone, opening night is 15th October so too late for this Months Micklehead meet

So the alternatives are

1. Walton Arms this thursday at 8pm (ish) 11th October

or

2. Waterside, Car Mill this thursday at 8pm (ish) 11th October

Surely he'd have to pay someone to take it off his hands? He should break it, I hear used duct tape is fetching good prices these days.

The St Helens meet becomes the ar$e end of Runcorn meet instead The Waterside is a special place and even though I am not going, it gets my vote
On Cup Final dat in 1996, me and a friend had our drinks spiked in there by two bin dippers who were jealous of our splendid victory. My friend had running races with imaginary sprinters, while I was taken home to stroke an imaginary dog in the kitchen much to my mums horror. We often returned hoping to see them again so we could "thank" them for their free drugs, but alas never had that chance
Also, I was banned from the waterside once for refusing to leave my unfinished beer at closing time. A friend of mine once got barred for smashing up the loos too I used to take all my first dates there when I was a teenager and then after a few drinks, drive over the dam for a smoke and a bit of
The Walton Arms on the other hand, is somewhere I used to go for xmas lunches when I worked at O2 in PB...
It just doesnt have the same jerr nerr say parr as The Waterside

I'm on running around duties until after 9 tonight, so unlikely to make it all the way over to the Walton Arms.

In return, I WILL make it to the newly opened Micklehead next month!

I left O2 two years ago, but I go over to PB regularly in my current role (I work for someone else now) and I worked in PB (and O2 in Bury) from when it opened until July 2005.
I was last over there in September (can usually be found sat with the IT guys or at the smokey bus shelter )

I might know you, look forward to the next meeting.

I am still there, been here again since it opened and actually before when it was something else.

Same here fella. I was at MDT in Priestley House from 1997 on Corp / National Accts... I dont go to the meetings anymore though. I went early on in Scooby ownership but my last meet was the NBO in 2005.

And I work for the same head honcho now as I did in 1997...If you get my drift. Small world
