Charity run through Blackpool lights
its been pretty quiet regarding the Blackpool Big one this year, so after the success of the last 3 years im thinking of biting the bullet and arranging a meet and run through the lights, previously superbly arranged by Frank, and John to great success,
Id really like to do it for my chosen charity= Alder Hey hospital as they have done wonders with Eleanor (my six year old) who has a incurable illness,
all funds will go to =
Alder Hey Imagine Appeal - The Charity
we will be doing it on Saturday 20th October setting off from our place like last year, with refreshments, kids entertainment and a toilet block (improvment on last year!!)
im going to be asking for a voluntary donation of £5 per car
we will be donating raffle prizes as will some of our suppliers
anybody fancy it???
Andy= Scoobyteknix
Just to assist in organising this we will be running two list and joining them up closer to the event=
A Scoobynet list
and a LADS - Lancashire And District Subaru owners club list
so get your names down here guys =

cheers guys!!!!
my little girl was diagnosed with an rare illness called Linear scleraderma which affects the skin tissues and causes massive tissue scarring, Alder hey have worked wonders with her this year and we have seen a massive improvement in her, at the moment one leg is quite badly damaged, but this can spread up the body if not treated, My missus needs to inject her once a week at home and Alder hey give her steroid treatment regularly,
the money would really help research into this and many other rare illnesses
cheers,, Andy

Great to hear of this extra event.
I started a separate list last year for a convoy from Burtonwood Services on the M62.(for the BBO)
We go from Burtonwood to Charnock Richard and then meet up with others coming up the M6 to make a big convoy to your place.
I'll do the same again if that's OK with you.
Graham,
Big-G
P.S. can we have a defined route from your place to the lights, it was fun but also frustrating last year doing a tour of an unfamiliar area, meeting Scoobies going in all directions trying to find their way.

Yes mate, it will be a defined route from the meet point, we have learnt our lessons from the mishaps of last year,,,
be good to meet you all,,
Andy
I will not be coming to this years event...! No loss there then I here you say
Last year put me off for a long time, I was stuck in the traffic for 4/5 hours from Bispham through to the macy dee's at the end, Not knowing the area coming from South Wales I could not/didn't wish to divert down the back streets like most of the locals did in the fear of getting totally lost.. NOT One stopped and said follow ME.
I hope it all goes well for this year and a defined route can be sorted before the day, If Andy you could PM me an address I will send you £5 for the Charity,
Just don't want to waist all the fuel and hotel bills again....!
That was one hell of a long weekend for us, I was creamcrackered when we got home.

thats such a shame mate,,, I remember meeting you last year,,, this years event will have a meeting point, and a point where we all gather for a regroup before we get to the illuminations, and the final get together at squires gate,,
i,ll hold my hand up as i was one of the lead cars, and feel i was partly to blame, but we have learnt buy our mistakes, and the regroup part of the plan should hopefully solve it this year
gutted you cant attend mate, but thanks for the support,,
