Thanks go to mark for coordinating this -which is an important part of the NBO experience
I believe you held the record last year for the largest subaru convoy defeating the scotch corner convoy from the north
again timing is crucial for this and 11am exactly and not a minute beforehand for the first car !!!
On our first NBO we had 7 mile tailbacks as the scotch corner convoy led by the legendary Johny Gav with 105 cars met up with the yorks/hull/sheffield and other necks of the wood at the same time and our 18 marshalls from CS and TTS managed by Gussy (our ringmaster) managed to park over 350 subarus in just under 1 hour !!!
That is why our list is so important for planning the spaces and as always you must park in the same direction dead straight in an uniformed fashiion for neatness and presentation .
please can you give your support to Mark on this rather then travel up indepentant from the south as it is great fun in a convoy

I will do my Upmost to arrive at 11:00 am with ferrybridge convoy,We are currently looking at around 25-30 cars just from the sheffield south yorkshire guys alone,so im sure if all the west yorks and smacs guys that aint camping could make the meet point,That would be something special
Looking forward to the show and run up as usual, just hope the weather holds out this year

Hey, heres a great idea. Lets meet up at Ferybridge services then everyone put there foot down and loose people behind them, and then people at the back who dont know the route can follow groups of other people who dont know where there going and we can add another 50 miles to the drive.

lol very true. i was one of those stuck, and was lucky i remembered the exact post code for lightwater valley, otherwaise the nice dude and his mrs in the white wagon, wouldnt have found us there with their sat-nav. the only black spot (well besides the weather) in an otherwise great day...
here's a better idea!
lets all make sure we know where we are going, and not just rely on the lead car so we can all follow like little lost sheep, and just hope there are no"traffic lights/roundabouts/tractors/caravans/horseboxe's etc etc etc that split up the convoy
A quick glance on the lightwater valley website throws up a nice map with very good directions to boot
I left ferrybridge at the head of the convoy, went around the roundabout onto the m62/a1 link, entered the a1 and sat at 60 MPH for about twenty miles with around 60 cars behind me,so as far as im concerned my job was done,if people have no sense of direction,i surgest a tom tom goes to the head of there xmas wish list.
no complaints from the sheffieldguys that got split up from the main convoy, they made the most of it and found a nice countryside B road to catch up on!

i had destructions to get me home from lightwater valley back to s****horpe. but as i decided to join in with the sheffield scoobies, i drove from scunny to sheffield, then pretty much expected an easy ride to the nbo, from ferrybridge. there were about 8/9 cars that were lost, and how we did so, was a mystery to me ethan.
i just remember us driving, then taking a slip road and stopping, asking "where the **** is everone"we were about 30 odd miles away where we should have been, unless we all managed to miss a junction somewhere. i personally didnt see the point in having instructions to get from ferrybridge to the n.b.o. as so many cars were going - in my defence
I was one of the ones that went the wrong way and cant say as I was bothered that I was goin in the wrong direction especially as I didn't have to be queued up for ages to get in.
Ok we wasted a bit of petrol but so what, we still got in didn't we

thought that was what whole point in a convoy. also did'nt expect convoy to get split up after 100 yards.
Good day though.
