If you are not already aware, there are speed cameras on the M60 clockwise from Denton to Bredbury, that went live 010407.
It is a 50 mph limit and by the way cars have been flying past me I think there will be 1 or 2 unwelcomed envlopes being delivered over the next few days. Be warned

aye heard about this on local gmr radio other night they are introducing PERMANANT traffic calming measure along this stretch of the M60 to try curb the rush hour accidents and are using as a test bed for other parts of the m60 soon to be controlled so be wary peeps these are not your gatso efforts eithor fully loaded night vision SPECS big bro is watching YOU!

 

Makes me laugh (and weep) when people go racing upto these and then slam their anchors on just before the cameras - FFS are people thick??? they're average speed cameras!!!!

It is just due to the section they cover has had a few fatalities on the bend.
But on way to meet last night there were a few people going along at over 50mph who will be getting a late Easter card through the post.

 

Apparently, 4 people have died on that stretch recently, due to the severity of the corner that had to be built. Rather bizarely, 3 died when they crashed their car, got out of the wreckage, and were run over by another car as they walked around the motorway! Speed obviously kills then! I don't use that part of the motorway often, but went through the other week at 65km ish, guess I'll be going slower now
