Those of you who've already read the "FAO of the Northern Lot!" thread will already have an idea about this, but for those who haven't - I'm planning a Go-Karting Grand Prix in Warrington for January. Prices are £34 a head! The dates are as follows:

Saturday January 12th or Sunday Jan 13th at either the 1pm or 6pm slots (both free at the moment), there is also the possibility for the weekend after as well (but only on the Saturday @ 6pm).

Give me a shout with which dates are better as soon as please - need to book ASAP!!!

If your definately coming whichever the date then just mail me.

You may want to check out the setup at this karting circuit - my g/f is going there for her xmas work day, and they've been told that there is no overtaking allowed ! ( ??? ) Something to do with the size of the circuit.

Let me know the name of the place, as I'll be there end of next week, I can confirm this. If we're actually allowed to race, I may well be interested.

 

I've been to Warrington a few times before and while there's a strict no overtaking on "arrive and drive" events, there's never been a restriction on Grand Prix ones!

This applies to both the Main Circuit and the Standard one next door as I've had a go on both.

What sort of event / track is she going on? (Is it a women only race, so it could be a special rule they have to keep the Kart's from getting totally wasted - he, he : could be in for some jip for that comment

It's her work do, so while they'll all probably drive like old women, strictly speaking it's a mixed-gender race day. I expect because they're all novices, they've been given the 'no-overtaking' rule.

 

Right - more delay's in organising this, I'm still fighting the flu and don't seem to be winning as yet!

I'm still short on numbers 10+ out at the mo and that's minimum! If the original lot from the other thread are reading can they say whether they're still interested as I've got no e-mail's from any yet:

Come on people (it wasn't this hard for Rich to get his Well Lane date scheduled) and this is actual driving, although not in your scooby - but you could pretend!!!

Andy - I'm up for this one - let me know how & when to pay.

If we get the standard track - its a bit narrow, and not that easy to overtake on - but it is definately allowed - but squeezing people out may get you a red flag (or 2!)

The main track is good fun, its wider, and there's an up & over section, and a banked corner - a la carousel!!!

I thougt I might aswell be the first with the " I'm just about to set off" so....I'm just about to set off See you guys there!

I had arranged to take my mini moto but unfortunately I blew the clutch up and the replacement hasn't turned up yet, I was assured on Monday that I'd have it within 2 - 3 days.....so it's a no show for the bike again, I will get it to a meet one day I promise!
