It started off as just a bit of leg pullin on their trackday forum but I then went on their General (look up their thread under " Who gets asked " Is that your Impreza " by Andi pondi " http://www.lancerregister.com/mlr-main.html
so I replied......Pondi took the bait and we've been batting the ball back and forth since
There's no doubt that for sheer brute power the EVO peeps will out shine........last time I was at Oulton (on std suspension I might add
) I caught a 380bhp Ralliart Blue V1, but struggled to stay close to him on the straights....but on the corners and twisties he was mine......pride wouldn't allow him to move over to let my lowly scoob by !!!
So here you have it, two great marques, a bit of banter on the day, my ba££s a big and I dont scare easily.......it'll be interesting.....s'pecially if it's as icey as it is this morning.....we'll be figure skating not driving !
Martin, you, your camera and mount would be brill mate.
Did I say no more track days this year........HUMBUG

Last of the season and I'm going to go for it big time.

I've been lurking on our "sisters" site the "Lancer Register's" BBS" and found that a fair few EVO's of some serious nature were going to be in attendance.......I made myself known to these peeps and they tell me that they look forward to waving to me as they pass in succession.......WELL......I can't have that....so I'll fly the scooby flag on the 19th and see if we can give them girlies a run for their money eh !

I might well be able to pop up Mellow.
Amanda, Oulton is about 30 minutes drive from J18 on the M6. Nearest place is a little village called Little Budworth - head east from Winsford and you should find it on a map.

I'll be up there in the afternoon, but I've heard about some of the competition going and it's looking grim on the sheer power stakes, it's down to driving skill then - should be plain sailing for you!!!

Mellow, I dont think BHLG allow cameras inside the car. Dont forget our rapid XR2 that will be buzzing all the scoobys and evo's.
I went down this Saturday for a look and there was some serious machinery on show. Adge I saw your car parked up near the entrance to the track. Had you broken down or just posing
New Yokahamas (A032R's) arrive tommorow which should give us a bit more wet grip then last time.

Camera's......erm......well I know the main Oulton Park trackside chappie....and at the last trip out, although the paperwork said not, he was happy to allow cameras.....as long as they were firmly afixed !!!!!

Erm......yes I do....in fact I've had a kind invite to join the EVO peeps the night before for a meal/drink etc...from one of the chaps who probably has one of the highest modded private track EVO's around, certainly on the day.....
I also spent the afternoon yesterday with Simon of Warrenders.....

A full in car video footage may be available of Wednesday's bash at Oulton,(not literally I hope)...still have to square it with the organisers, so for a nominal cost let me know if you're interested
