Mr moneys, I invite you to a 1/4 mile race for logbooks at SSO

That's unless Mr 51st state gets his chequebook out before the event

Disapointed with the figures for the Scoob , but well happy with 286 lb/ft with the yellow peril

and Jen's happy with the 316 Bhp too out of the std car

Quality day Graham, thanks for sorting it

Ok i dont think anyone was more dissapointed than me with 249bhp with 295lbs torque - now i'm not making excuses or anything but car did not feel right on the road - even with some added octane booster (not that it makes a difference) it was just not holding boost. Gutted is the word, funny enough later on had to bob down to Stoke on Trent where my buddy kept asking me what was wrong with my car? which i couldn't really answer!!!!!

Funny thing is though on the way back had to stick more fuel in as i was running on empty, almost immiedietly noticed a massive difference - absolutely pulled like hell through every gear.

why the f*** is my Scoob so tempremental??????

500 (Scooby) : 322 BHP
JenniP1 : 316 BHP
Scooby Si : 226 BHP
Scoobyverysoon : 226 BHP
Moneys : 276 BHP
Carl555DBM : 292 BHP
Barnesy : 333 BHP
Wah : 336 BHP
fwdnutz (1st run) : 277 BHP
Carsey STI : 315 BHP
Lord Bass : 341 BHP
Anderoo : 284 BHP
John WRX : 357 BHP
Scouse2 : 296 BHP
PCM (1st car) : 296 BHP
Tony 95 : 244 BHP
Leuven : 292 BHP
The Chief : 249 BHP
500 (Lancia) : 189 BHP
Speedymonkey : 228 BHP
Lee 2.0T : 244 BHP
Marc1941 : 394 BHP
Paul@PDRacing (Blue STI) : 432 BHP
PCM (Spec C Type RA) : 360 BHP
fwdnutz (2nd Run with different ECU) : 286 BHP
MissScoobyGav555 (CTR) : 204 BHP
kk3960 : 381 BHP

So the highest BHP goes to the Blue STI (sorry dont recall the owners name) that was part of Pauls group from PD Racing with a whopping 432 BHP. The only car to break the 400 BHP barrier although one or two others came close.

Adam won the guess the total BHP competition which was made up of 25 of the runners and nominated CANCER RESEARCH as the charity for the donation which is an excellent choice. We raised £160 so well done to everyone.

A quick thank you to Pete and the other guys at Prosport for being so good with all the runners and their cars, and to Clare for her help in organising the event.

Also thanks to Andy, Chris and Martin for helping out with various things on the day, and to everyone else for coming along and making it such an enjoyable day. The group photo is awesome and well worth the organisation!

Nice to also see some new faces who we will hopefully see at future SMACS events.

In answer to your question Andy, yes I did put a deposit down on a Spec D for collection on an "07" plate. I cant wait!!!

Unfortunately I didnt get the torque figures down yesterday because I was focussed on the BHP figures for the competition so sort of forgot! Sorry about that, but people can add them in if they get chance.

Got to say, as we all know, Peter at prosport is just such an honest geniune guy. He could have had my £35 and let me do a dispointing run. But no, instead he came to me (admitley at 3pm) and advised me along the lines of if it were him he wouldn't put the car on as the reading will be false as the VAG ecu is adaptive in such a way that if there is no preloading on the dyno the ecu doesn't work to its fullest (lazy ECU) and he has found this more so with VAG revo remaps. But he is looking into having it adapted as he does do a fair few VAG revo remaps.

I was a litle disapointed but at least i have my £35 for next time.

Congratulations on winning Adam and good choice of charity. Glad the intergrale did better than you thought too.

Very true mr moneys, and Carlas CTR made 204 BHP which means that the RR figures were there or thereabouts in terms of accuracy (the CTR being un-modified and therefore a good benchmark).

still me torque wasn't bad - so people say.

Had a chat with dale today and asked him why my boost wasn't holding, he said i was suffering 'boost creep' this could have been down to crap fuel seeing as my car made a fantastic recovery after i filled it up again later on.

Still no excuses on the day - thats how is.

Graham – Brilliant day. Thanks for organising this. Got a great crowd together there on Saturday. Hope to see the Spec-D soon!
Thanks to Pete and everyone at Prosport – as professional as ever.

Oh and thanks to PCM for letting me try your car …… and destroying my illusions of what a fast Scooby is (including mine) with the awesome Spec C type RA.

Beast of a machine you have there too Adam
There will be some pictures of the day I took up on Amita shortly.

Carl.
