SMACS Rolling Road Day - Saturday 3rd February 2007
After chatting to CW42 I decided it was about time I organised a SMACS event (its only taken 3.5 years!) 
We've spoken to the lovely Claire at Prosport and agreed on Saturday 3rd February as a good day to run the next rolling road.
Here is the address for those that dont know it:
Prosport, Unit 18,

SK4 3EA
The cost will be £40 per runner, with £5 of this going to charity. A very reasonable price I am sure you will agree. The winner of the "guess the total BHP" competition on the day will be able to nominate the charity.
IMPORTANT - Claire has asked that either myself or Chris collect a £20 deposit from each runner in advance, so please bear in mind we will need this from you as soon as possible after you have signed up. The balance of £20 will be payable prior to running on the day itself.
Things will kick off around 9am on the day with a maximum of 25 runners and 5 reserve places to fill any late gaps. There will be no timings for the day. Once we are all there, then the order of running will be decided. If anyone has any specific requirements on time then please let me know in advance.

I really want to go on this but my car gets mapped that day so i,m not sure if i can make it. can you put me on the reserve list for now please

If you turn up on a Tuesday you will be on your own - it is first Thursday of the month.
To be honest, the monthly meets are only part of the SMACS "thing", there are other activities such as the run out yesterday, the rolling road and (new for 2007) Bingo night.
Feel free to come along, a couple of attendances to any event will get you on the SMACS list.
(Note : The cross dressing night in Blackpool has now been dropped!!!! Thanks for the idea anyway - you know who you are
)

I cant come either cos ive saving for a remap (should be late Jan - early Feb) so theres no point really, might bob down tho as its only round the corner from mine, and claire makes a dam fine brew

Anderoo I will put you down on the reserve list for now mate, but if there arent 25 runners nearer the 3rd Feb then there is no problem for you to run on the day. Of course if you come down to the January meet and pay the £20 deposit then that would guarantee you a place!

Thanks a lot Beefy, some nasty person arranged my Christmas bash in Slough on the 7th December! So I was unable to come to your December Thursday meet which I did intend to come along to.
Will go and work out the when the January date is going to be, as I have a training course on the 8th for a week in Reading. Hopefully will be able to make it, work just don't understand they are getting in the way here.
