Default NBO 4 INFORMATION BULLATINE ########

With only 4 weeks to go to the NBO 4

here is an update of the event

and if you are a member of a scooby group please

We do NEED EVERYONE to post if they are going to give an estimated number for the Insurance for the event ######

-------------------------------------------------------------

The NBO 4 will as you all now be held at Lightwater Valley theme park

on Sunday 18th June the show opens at 11AM but all trade stands and Club stands should report to the field for 9AM for set up ready for the masses .

As always the Admission is a £5 donation per car although we would really like you to empty all the change from your pockets for the Charity .

The trade stands allready confirmed are

Stan Palmers subaru dealer

Grade A

Revolution

Oakley service station EVO Dealer

HT Autos

Eclipse Bodywork

AS Performance

Westgate Tyres

Westcoast motorsports

AS Signs

Dent Devils

Subaru Kendal

and we are waiting on confirmation from a few others

###############################

As in previous years Lightwater Valley have donated us the field as all proceeds go to Charity and again for this year we have chosen Cancer Research

Last Year we raised over £3500 on the day from admission to the show and the Raffles and general donations on the Day

Again we are helped by the kind collectors from the charity to assist us.

Thanks go to the Traders for supplying the prizes and through various club members for prizes given too .

This year Im asking you all that if you have any contacts or would like to give a prize for the raffle to fetch it on the day and give it to the organisers tent .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This year as part of the <vision> We have decided to take the NBO concept a stage further to make it the best event ever .
Last Year for those that can remember we dabbled with the Club Event stands and that proved a hugh sucess with the 6 clubs who showed making a fantastic effort and last years winners was the LADS '
This year will be a new level with the club stands competing to be the best
Subaru Club Stand of the Show . #######
Will the LADS hold onto the title as Competion will be Fierce
The Clubs allready listed are the
Cumbrian Scoobs (CS) (best show stand at the RS show last week)
Tyne Tees Scoobys (TTS)(with a new look by Evolutions stand leadership )
LADS (last years winners with a fantastic stand ##)
CADS (runners up last year will they topple the LADS !!!)
Wagon Corner (This stand will be Awesom :green wagon too )
SVX (subarus very rare sports cars true collectors cars )
Terzo Division (with full military planning watch this one )
WR1 club ( A collection of one of the finest special editions )
RB 5 Club ( the club make this their national meeting )
SMACS (under CWs leadership this could be massive !!!)
Midland Scoobys (This could be a serious contender for the title)
SIDC ( A first showing for the well established Club )
Ayreshire Scoobys (Flying the flag for Scottish Scoobys)
WYIOC club (The yorkshire boys have a special stand planned )
and were still waiting confirmation of a couple more Clubs
###############################################
The <vision> is that with all the Subarus Clubs set up around the edge of the field to show off their individual clubs that we compete to get the best clubs well run and organised with many enthuastic members and the Indepentants Scooby Owners who love the marque but possibly have just joined the Scooby Community ,dont have Internet access or just didnt know that there is a club in the reigon
and are drawn to the Club stands to join up ,meet new friends and share the Subaru ownership experience with others and so we can
#Link all Subaru owners together ###########
That is what the NBO committee hope to achieve at this years event .
Any Northern Scoobs (or any other region passing through) is welcome to join the WYIOC for a MEGA CONVOY up to the NBO at Lightwater Valley. We'll be meeting at Ferrybridge Services at 10am before leaving around 10.15 for a leisurely trundle up the A1. Come on S.Yorks, Midlands, Hull, SMACS, LADS etc. Let's challenge TTS for the biggest convoy title
Hiya corradoboy
Good to hear from you again
It will be interesting to see who will have the Biggest convoy again
I remember the first NBO when the TTS convoy arrived at the same time as the Yorks convoys and there was tailbacks all the way back to the A1
yo u should have seen the marshalls park over 200 cars in 30 minutes and everyone was in line and no England flags on them too :
Roll on the battle for the Biggest convoy :
Talking CHARITY FUNDS DOUBLED ###################
Some of you might know Chris /SCOOBY TOWERS of the LADS Group who is an active member of the NBO committee and like last year he has managed to pull it off again .!!!!!
last year we split the proceeds between Cancer Research and The Stroke Association and BAE( who chris works for) has agreed to double the amount of money raised for the stroke association .
EG
takings on the day £2000
Cancer Research get £1000
Stroke Association get £1000 BAE then match the £1000 to £2000
Total Raised on the Day £3000 ####
Thanks to Chris for sorting this one out again :
Last year we Raised over £3500 and well over £7000 since the NBO was started
The Raffle is an important part of the fundraising with the prizes donated by the traders and Subaru Indviduals so
If Anyone out there works for a company that regulally donate products could you all fetch them along on the day to te NBO tent as it will make a difference ####
there will also be regular collections on the day by the Cancer Research and Stroke association .
As Always the admission to the field is £5 minimum per Car ######
The Marshalls /collectors DONT have any change as the buckets are sealed so please have your money ready as you drive into the Field so not to slow up the parking arrangements .
So please empty your pockets for these 2 great Causes
this years target is again £ 3500 on the Day .
THREE WEEKS TO GO
Sorry to be a thicky - but us (we?) family groups need this info (...)
How does the entrance work ? Do the NBO cars park outside the normal theme park area, thus not having to pay for the theme park (as we won't be using it) ? (i.e. my £5 goes to charity, not £5 to charity and £50 to the theme park ) Also, does this give access to the facilities mentioned, such as loos, food etc ?
Thanks,
Mark
The NBO is outside the main park in one of the car parks. Your £5 (or more if you like) goes to charidee with no more to pay if you choose.
Hi Mark,
Your just about have it 'spot on' right.
The NBO field is located within the boundaries of Lightwater Valley but not within the theme park itself.
Your donation of £5.00 goes towards the nominated charities and there will not be any further charges made (unless you wish to ).
The NBO parking is about 100 yards from the entrance of the Theme Park.
You have (without further charge) access to the Lightwater Valley Retail Outlets which have all the facilities you will require (toilets, food etc).
Have a great day
Just received confirmation that the aerial platform will be available again for the official photographer to take those excellent pics of the showground.
Could give a different view of all the clubs stands
