Afternoon guys,

Gonna get things rolling with "The first North East Japstyle Meet in Association with www.japautostyling.co.uk", date is going to be Wednesday 24th August and will be held in the North East, Silverlink Retail Park, Near North Shields, Newcastle from 7pm. All japanese car owners are welcome.

This is not a cruise or an organised event, it is a Local Area Meet where local members from all Japanese car clubs can get together and have a chat and compare notes, lol

Hopefully this will become a regular meet on your calendar, and will hopefully get to the point where we can make it a legal event.

Post below if you wish to attend. Please post this on any jap forums you are a member of, and give me the link once posted if possible please.

Again this is not an organised even or a cruise. Please behave yourself if you attend, the idea of this is to get something steady going on in the north east.

hmmm, a few mins from my house, i might have a pop in

have to say tho, this is a area which has been recently used for sum "cruises" so im not sure if the old bill will be happy??

 

I havent heard of any problems or anything down there and I am aware they do have security within the car park, Im hoping to be able to get these meets introduced and take it to a higher level quite quickly depending on the commitment of people, i have a few ideas to make it official and legal including a few ideas for the venue aswell.

Anyways, we wont be doing anything to cause any problems or concerns for the police - will we! lol

 

I've heard of the law shifting people on regularly, even if they are doing nowt except sittting in their cars. Not sure how much truth is in it tho. Might be worth a look in tho.

 

I'll see if i can find anyone that has been attending the cruises as Im not into that sort of thing, and I would hate people to think that this is a cruise, cos in my mind it isnt.

I'll be making steps towards contacting Northumbria police in the next few days to see wot the score is and wot support they can offer, or even if they can recommend a better venue if this is the case.

I have been to these meetings/cruises/gatherings.

They seem to be ok. Security not really bothered.

Police are they sometimes. Just to make sure people arent messing about.

Other then this they have been good.

Well guys last night was a success, Id like to thank everyone for attending and making it a good meet, thankfully its the first but certainly not the last. Everythign ran smoothly, no problem and no one acting up which was good. Took around 70 pics. Now instead of copying them up to around 24 different sites, they are all located on the Team Jas website under this thread
