Evening meet Wednesday 17th October @ The Wiggin Tree
#2
Anyone fancy it ? The Wiggin Tree is our usual venue for these meets - its situated on the top of Parbold Hill, near Wigan, Lancs - about 5 minutes from junction 27 of the M6. I'll post up directions if interest is shown.

Tony,
I am unable to make any midweek evening events due to the fact that my wife works evenings, and has done for the last 10 years.
Hence I haven't been able to reciprocate the support you have shown me on my events and attend your previous chin wagging sessions.
I have to baby sit little MTR and his little sister JER.
Sorry.
Cheers MTR

Not long to go now - only about 6 weeks till it's be ready - then I'll be glad to show it.
Might see you later as I've been on the 'game' all last night and never went to bed!
Regards
Lee

You stuck for words Chris?
Lee(Dario)...haven't seen you since I took those MY01 rims off you. How are things? Noticed the piccy of fat lad burnsie sprawled all over your car... Look forward to catching up with you again. I had also forgotten about the owner of your software house....any chance of a PS2 at trade ?
Look forward to catching up with you.

Hello People
Being new to this Impreza lark I thought it would be a good time to meet a few other owners so you can count me in, have you got any direction once you get off the motorway?

Thanks to everyone for turning up, quite a good evening was had.
I got there early and was expecting a few new faces, so went to talk to the 3 lads in our usual corner. It turned out they were not there for the meet but for the football, but joined our group anyway and had a good chat about Scoobies !!
The group driving issue was discussed at length, and some excellent suggestions made for future events:
1. Combining a trackday with a Scooby meet - those that want to drive go on track, those that want to look at cars and chat to other members can spectate. Just have to make sure its a weekend !!!
2. SIDC presence at one of the rallies at New Brighton, on the Wirral (thats oop north, for any Southern softies reading this). Perhaps a Club stand, display cars from various organisations etc.
I shall be getting in touch with the SIDC committee about these suggestions, so I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again for turning up.

Good to meet a few scooby owners, shame it was pitch black and hard to check the cars out - roll on spring eh!
Sorry about leaving a bit soon but I had to drop matey off by 9 or his wife would have his bollox in 2 eggcups on the mantlepiece.
See ya at the next one.

Hi Tony
Sorry I couldn't make it.I had to stay in and wait for my new digital camera to be delivered. It should have arrived last week but the supplier's been messing me around.
The New Brighton rally idea sounds good though, also how about a pub meet in the day time one weekend (see coments in above post)so we can see the cars.
Chris
P.S. I will make it to the next one honest.

Yep, a daytime meet with no driving is on the cards I think - just need to sort out a venue large enough to cope with lots of hungry scooby drivers. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Tony -
a lively debate I thought - like some sort of committee meeting ;-) - some good suggestions for you to take forward too.
Did you hit the epic rainstorm on the way home? - it actually stopped some of the cars on Barton bridge when I got there, the gantries were showing 30 mph max!
thanks go to Adrian for making me green with envy at those pics of the F1 driving experience thing :-( - maybe a long lost relative will leave me some inheritance as there is fat chance of 'er indoors sanctioning a similar trip for yours truly!
