Autumn Karting Challenge
#1
Earlier in the year I organised a karting session for some of the West Yorks gang. We are now going to run another one, provisional date Saturday 20 October.
In a folourn attempt to get drivers who have the capacity to outrun a Granny in a Bathchair and do not have a rubber fettish which compells close physical relationships with a tyre wall. I've decided to check if anyone is interested in introducing a modicum of skill to the previous spectacle of mayhem.
Location Lancashire, Cost approx £30
P S The previous performance was so dire that a number of WOMEN are threatening to participate

Ah usual suspects then!
Must put a link into the Midlands forum, even the Staffs lot should be able to manage 250cc and 50 mph
Mellow if Dreamweaver gets behind your kart I think some heavy duty armourfend on the rear would be appropriate
Craft found the pic of your "five mins of fame"

Not sure about that - any chance of a limiter being installed?
I would like to implore those participants weighing less than 15 stone to move onto a high pie content diet, so they are not so fast out of the corners.
Thank you for your co-operation.

pumpers:
Outdoor in October's a bit of a gamble m8, but we are considering one. Date is fairly solid as we've already got the minimum number of drivers.
I just need a little lattitude before I place me hard earned up front
Bring along whoever u want but the emphasis is on entertainment not competition.
i.e out of the kart it's smiles not scowls, in the kart well thats a different matter ain't it DW

OK 20th it is, venue reserved kick off at 4 p.m.
Pumpers, Manchesters a big place mate so depends where your start point is, a gallon of SUL should see u there and back
You may not be worried about the rain but what about my arthritis? Anyway I don't need wet weather to make a prat of myself.
CW be good to see u there. But the ladies as gon suddenly quiet methinks
Bobbie, I'll check with the venue about a little interval entertainment. I may be able to round up a couple more, would u like me to invite a 12 year old to show you how it's done Of course I'm talking about driving!
I'm off in search of a suntan so limited communication for a couple of weeks. Will e mail details direct to all participants when I return.
25 so far another few drivers will make a classic event so maintain the momentum in my absence.

Evening folks, I’ve just about recovered from my hols, read my e mail and caught up with the latest on Scoobynet
Current position is 25 drivers, plus 4 maybes. There should be a few ladies to provide moral support for Heather, not that she needs it! But surprise surprise Little Miss and her girlfriend can’t make it,
AGAIN. Saturday afternoon = Tesco ?
A couple of rules for the day.
1. Marshals are there to ensure a safe and enjoyable day obey the flags and their instructions.
2. If you are overtaken by one of Mellows outriders or an adoring fan in pursuit. Don’t identify them on a public forum and deliver a diatribe on performance car control and road safety.
If you are unhappy with any issues on the day discuss it with the event manager.
He will be present throughout and wear identification.
In the absence of a badge he can be easily recognised, beside him there will be a large guy with a broken nose wearing a dark suit and carrying a baseball bat.

Junior,
Work to live or live to work? I'm sure the Group Captain will arrange transport and could be persuaded to sponsor a potential Formual 1 star, just mention J Button.
Tony
Sorry to pick a bad date, we had a discussion at the BBQ and most people were available. It will leave a couple more places available on the A final grid this time Enjoy the concert cu next time m8

Mr Mellow (We are not worthy) Yellow.
Sir,
May I respectfully suggest that if the term low profile is ever used it will certainly relate to the vehicle tyres not the driver.
