Well thank you Mike, Neil and Mark for your replies it seems that up here in the North East we do not want a regular meet or are we all shy? the silence is defening.
Mike I will definatley attend the Meet on the 10 Aug at York.
I am trying to organise something up in the Teeside/Tyneside area on a reguar basis i.e. a local pub where we can just meet up have a chat and a few drinks (non alcholic for the divers of course) anyone have any ideas on a suitable location in the Durham area i.e. large car park, landlord who is interested in cars, good food, nice location etc.
Think the best idea is to find and name a place, give a date and time and see who turns up (probaly just me and 2 or 3 others by this inital response.
Mark no snobbyness from me dont mind what you turn up in just happy you made the effort to reply.

Jason,
I can understand your frustration at th lack of replies to your posting about meetings in the North East.
I have arranged two (February/April) meets in the North East. Admittedly the February meet was poor due to Snow etc, but April's gathering although small was a good day had out by all.
I do have some other ideas for some other drives out but I'm waiting for certain picnic areas to be opened to enable us to use the route in mind to be used.
I seem to recall never seeing you post any replies to my posts or turning up on the days and you being a SIDC Regional Organiser.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again..
Neil

Neil I watched the threads on the other meets with interest but unfortunately I had something arranged on those dates already, so no point posting saying I would go to the meet and not turning up
Yes I am Regional Organiser but until the last issue of True Grip I did not know :0 I filled the form in about 3 years ago when I first joined the SIDC it was a tick box on a questionnaire I figured that other members in the North East may have ticked the same box but I must have been the only one , anyway I will now try and organise something on a regular basis.

Jason,
I'll Email you a couple of possible routes that I considered. I've not yet had chance to check them further due to a vast amount of work I've got coming in.
Cheers
Neil
P.s. > I hope I didn't offend you in my last post, I've just read it and it's a bit harsh.

Jason,
sorry for no response, I am up for a meet, i have been working away for last year but will be back in the NE in August. I also know of three others in Hexham are who may attend. There are some great roads around here often used by the likes of EVO magazine (A686)Hexham to Penrith ((Hartside Pass) and then on to Keswick and the Lakes where there are many great roads. The last three meets I have attended have been attended by about 10 cars from the NE area so do not despair !!
Cheers
