Welcome Dac,

MY refers to Model Year and I believe STI's are imports

Don't be embarassed by the KA, I've only got a Fiesta!

All STIs and old shape WRXs are imports and come with c240 to c280bhp

All UK cars are 208-215bhp, although you can get the Prodrive Perfromance Pack which takes it up to c240bhp. The only exceptions are the P1 (a rebadged and modified STI) and the 22B Type UKs which were both c280bhp

As mentioned MY is Model Year, and whilst STIs are normally refered to as STI1, STI3, STI6 etc, an STI4 is a MY98 - just to confuse.

To throw another spanner in the works, you can also get EU imports which are the same as the standard UK cars (although sometimes called Impreza GTs). These will be cheaper, but won't have the full warranty, and sometimes don't have the same bodywork protection etc

Start of at the SIDC website and go to the FAQ section - that should answer 90% of your questions, but nothing can substitute picking brains at a meet - with these guys, that shouldn't take long

Its not what you know, its who you know

Just to rub it in, on top of the VIP tickets we *should* be able to get into the pit lane and paddock, plus the possibility of arrival by helecopter
