Started a new thread to save anybody having to search through the "Any Geordies?" posting for details.

Here are the directions to get to "The Badger Pub" Ponteland.

take the A696(north) from the A1 western bypass towards the Airport.
When you get to the Aiport roundabout head straight on, straight over the next roundabout(700yds) then right at the next roundabout. You will see the Bagder pub on your right. Below are a couple of maps showing the area.

I'll be collaborating with Skippy today over the route, looks like he's gotta work on sunday now. Shame

There's a possiblity of 2 routes, 40 miles & 64 miles.

The routes will be driven tonight by Skippy & myself and will be available on the day. We'll hand it out on paper, not wise to place it on here incase the Plod get there eyes on it and lay in wait for us. Not that we're gonna be doing anything wrong, just they may want to increase their fines revenue.

You're right The Badger is a popular pub and the car park does get busy, if it looks like it's gonna be choka block we can always use the large car park next door which is the Garden Centre.
So if 'er indoors asks where your going say "The Garden Centre"..

Neil

Folks,

Well just got in after an afternoon of exploring a route and then went back out with Skippy to explore more possiblities in the Fog.. (Not Recommended )

We've got a route planned that's approx 63 miles and let's just say that it's got everything you want. Be there on the day at the Badger at 11am onwards for your copy of the route notes & map. May take a final blast on Saturday with Skippy to go over the fine points and get things spot on.

Big thanks to Skippy for his Fast Fog Chauffer service..

Yawn........... Off to bed...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Looks like i can't get out of work on Sunday, still going to try though, even if i pop up at 11 for half an hour. Sounds like the Mondeo has developed a knock !!! Not built like Scoobies eh !!! If anyone can make it, do so, its a cracking route, Neil and myself had good time just doing the recce, hope to see you lot Sunday, and Neil, if you need a passenger on Saturday give me a bell, i might be at work but can get away hopefully.

Cheers

I'm an exiled North Easterner, and made my customary trip up to the faithfull land last week, so I'm afraid I cannot make it this time, due to funds!!!.

Will try and make the next one, though.

Muddy.

P.S- Say hello to Glen(Revolution)for me as he is a good mate of mine.

Muddy,

What you mean is that Passport control at the north/south border will only let you through once a month.

See you next time, starting to look at possible routes for the future.

Can't do daytimes m'fraid. Have got myself into the regrettable position of working 7 days a week.

About all I could make at the moment would be an evening meet up. This may be a poss nearer the summer as the nights get lighter.

Did this meet take place?

I have just got back from a 2 week holiday and heard that the snow was bad on Sunday in Northumberland, so did the meet take place or was it cancelled?

If it was cancelled has anyone rearranged anything?

Paul,

Yes the meet went ahead, but the weather affected th turn out. 6 people braved the elements and we got together had a little drive and then gathered at Revolution. Check out the pics on the "Members Gallery, North East Meet".

I think there are a few of us gonna get together at the SIDC Track day at Croft on the 2nd March.

Paul,

We're slowly getting the numbers up for the next North East meet, as mentioned earlier the next get together will be at Croft on 2nd March. Give us a chance to put names to faces etc...

When the better weather arrives on us we'll have a get together and drive the route that was initially planned. Check out the Members Gallery for the "Newcastle meet" pics, it was a cold day.
