Get Together In / Around Bradford
#1
I'm seeing more and more Scoobs in Bradford and thought it would be nice to have a get together one evening.
Meet up at Baildon moor?
Anyone up for it?
Cheers

Count me in.
Although based in London, I am regularly in the Bradford area - mainly to watch Bradford City and also to get the car serviced which I got from K.T.Green.
How about this Sunday - or any Sunday that is immediately after a Bradford home game
Generally around Great Horton in Bradford or out towards Burley.
Cheers

No, mine is a UK silver MY99.
City play roughly every other week at home, although don't think I will be around on a Sunday until mid-September - but am still up for a meet.
Could do an early Saturday morning - anyone else interested?

Would prefer Sunday 24th.
There have been threads in the past relating to the high number of IT professionals on Scoobynet - especially IT consultants!
Alec, what do you drive?

I travel to the Bradford area most days.
Don't do a seperate meet on the 24th Septamber. Get along to Northern Meet 4 on that day. Starts at Birch services on M62 so it's easy to get to. A run over the tops someplace and finish up within half hour or less of Bradford. You'll be home for tea and scones!!!!
Any other date keep the suggestions coming, but don't waste the 24th.

Any other suggestions for a Bradford meet date - maybe after the Northern meet?

Alec.
I could probably do that as things stand today.
BUT It is only the Sunday after NM4. There might be one of two outcomes:-
a) We are all eager to meet up again
b) We want to give it a rest, so what about 8th, 15th or 22nd Oct?

Dick Hudsons is good with me, does everyone know where it is?
I'm up for an early start say 5:30AM!
Seriously What sort of time?
GaryC
Keep an eye out here, the more the merrier.
Anyone got any friends who have nice exotic machinery who may want to come?

Some good advice from GaryC there.
Maybe a "relatively" early meet -10am?, a blast and back in time for some lunch at Dick Hudsons?
Alec - what's more exotic than a Scooby

Without being a killjoy, the best meets are the smallest. I have organised two, one had 51 the other had 73 cars. The last one especially was spoiled by having too many cars. Nice to see so many cars, but no chance of speaking to any more than 20% of the people, the drive was ruined by too many cars, even though they were set off in 10 car 'lots', police became aware and positioned themselves between the cars etc etc.
The most enjoyable 'meets' are when half a dozen of subarus meet up for a hours 'blast' and then finish at a pub for a 'bite'.
If you want big numbers and exotic cars, just meet up one evening for drink, too much atention is not a good thing.
