Default SMACS treasure hunt and BBQ 24th July

As discussed, we will be getting together on Sunday 24th July for an in car treasure hunt (planned by Supertouring) followed by a BBQ at my house (Macclesfield). All are welcome, as long as one of the SMACS members knows you. This is essentially a family event so there will be no "road rally". Might even sort a bouncy castle or something for the kids!

State you're interest here and more details will follow.

Pete

I plan to be there.

Is the treasure hunt worth it with only 3 cars?

This is crazy, what is happening on Sunday? What do we need to bring?

Treasure hunt is fine, but only 2/3 cars - is it worth it? Better saving it for another day where we can get more cars out?

Spoke to Pete today.

Treasure hunt will be held off for a few weeks till we gone some more interest. Prefer to do it early sunday so the roads are empty etc. with a pub lunch at the end. New thread to be started once we discuss it Sunday.

BBQ starts at 4pm at his gaff and bring your own food/drink as he is a tight git and is not will to supply anything. PM me if you need directions.

He has promised to cook the food in nothing other than a cheap plastic pinny - so no sausages please incase of accidents.

Maybe an idea to bring seating implements also as I am not sure what he has or has not.

UPDATE: unfortunatly pete has had to cancel today bbq, so super and I are off for a meal in a pub somewhere around LONGNOR, derbyshire.
I've been unable to get in touch with andy_s, and left a voicemail for him. So if you want to join us, we're meeting in whaley bridge at 16:30 this afternoon, for a steady run over to longnor. Phone me on 07792969577 if you want to join in, all welcome

I think it being called off was a blessing in disguise after the weather today - i'm flipping soaked to the skin.

Thats what i get for thinking it would be just a passing shower!
