lol, can do if you want Chris - Names below!

Anyone got preferences for a route? Is it easier for everyone to go north from stockport way rather than across to the M6? I'll have to see if there are any other groups meeting up and perhaps plan on getting together with them. I think last time we all met at the services didn't we?

no preference for a route, whatever takes in the most twisty roads though
Or, we could just head for the m60, m62 to york, which is quick and easy

We don't need to get there early this year, so something twisty would be nice.

oh dave, a challenge!
Devise a cunning and twisty route to the venue, taking in at least 1 pee stop along the way (a country wall will do for me )
Challenge dave time

lol, I know the feeling.

Anyways, a nice twisty backroads route it is then. Agree with Dai, last couple of years I've turned up early and then had to wait for an hour before the action starts. I'll have a look at what route I can come up with an the work out a time of arrival for around 10:30/11ish, should give us a nice run up

lol, I'll see if I can find time to plan something, though its now looking doubtful as I've got to start stripping the kitchen ready for fitting a new one. If anyone fancies planning a route up instead, please volunteer now!!

Ok, time to resurect this thread
I've had a word with scoobytowers from the LADS, and they're going far too early for me, so, shall we say 9:30 @ the H&H for a fairly basic route to the M1, then onto elvington?
I had a good look at planning a nice twisty route up, but to be honest, I don't see the point, as it would mean going well out of our way, either too far north, or south. Eventually you'll always end up on either the M62 or M1 whichever way you go.
So, woodhead to M1 it is then.
Any objections?

Good!
See you all sunday.

Is this still the list:

right, 9:30 at the H&H is fine, simple route up is good for me, may come back the twisty route when I get bored half way through the afternoon.

Elvington looks to be a bugger of a place to get to from anywhere other than the motorway anyway, although I did drive left out of the place last year and took a nice twisty road back to the motorway rather than the bypass.

See you at the H&H on Sunday.

OH, curborough! Not doing that either, work is mental at the moment so not much time to play. There is a WYIOC meeting on Thurs night I may go to - last week was a quick run over Strines and pub stop. Not much driving.

I am going to have to teach then "the way of the SMACS".
