Default Urgent request to MY99/00 owners

Is there anyone who can let me try their ECU (or a spare one they may have) in order to try and diagnose what's wrong with my car?

Bloody thing won't start!

Performed an ECU reset and got Error code 53. Apparently fuel pump related.

Checked fuel pump - apparently ok, and feeding fuel to the correct pressure
Checked HT leads - all firing
Injectors.... need to check again in the light, and when the battery gets recharged

AA couldn't sort it..... need to try and decide what to do next.

btw.... I'm in Wakefield.

WEIRD!

It started when Stevey turned up and hooked the car up to his trusty Escort with jump leads.

Thanks to all those who offered, btw, and a HUGE THANKS to Stevey for turning up with the test ECU.

Cheers, mate. I owe you one.
