Default WYIOC - New Year Meet - Thursday 29th Jan.

No doubt spleens & kidney's will have recovered by now, but those Brain cells, however, are gone forever. For some, this will have no impact upon their cerebal capacity, but others will see their IQ's plummet and pool skills vanish.

I am only typing this now so that I will be able to remember what club I belong to and where I should be going..

If you wish to check out who fits into what category, come along to the next meet at The Trading Post.

Not been before?

If you've never been, but had one resolution to join a quite superb bunch of boys & girls who enjoy their cars immensely, then you will be made very welcome.. We're not just a Subaru bunch.. There's usually a variety of Scoobs, Evo's and a stunning RUF 911 Turbo & a simply awesome Ferrari 360 CS that may make it if it doesn't rain/snow/mist or fog and the sun shines..

Seating

I will pre-book 'The Cabin' area to the rear of the restaurant so that we can all sit together, rather than be split up as before..

Details of the venue are below..

Commerce Park, Pioneer Way, Whitwood, Castleford.
Tel: 01977 519587

Map ---- http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?pc=WF105PE

FACILITIES
Patio Area (with heaters), Wheelchair Access, Disabled Toilet, Baby Changing Facilities, outside & inside Children's Play Area (free).

Room for 100+ cars. Please park towards the rear of the car park on club nights.. (no reason apart from the fact that it will look bloody good!!)

Pre-meet?

As promised, there may be a more opportune second Thursday of the month meet in order to have a run out to a guest location if the interest is there.. Can you post you're responses ideas or inane drivel to the WYIOC - Pre & Post Meeting Comments/Musings thread - Ta very much..

Ok. That's about it..The WYIOC hope you have a great New Year and we'll hopefully see you all there on the 29th @7:30pm

So, Phil, there's a chance that the exclusive 'Evo owners without a license' club is gonna gain another member!!!

Not the best of clubs to be in, believe me!!!

Hope things turn out better than they did for me mate.

All the best.

(And a happy NY to all WYIOC'ers )

Let's get the sh1tty news out of the way and hope the rest of the year picks up for everybody...

For those that knew about my situation, Mum passed away on the 29th and the funeral is in the first week back at work It's something I'm not particularly looking forward to as at the moment I'm not really thinking of things - it'll probably hit me on the day

Happy New Year anyway...

Andy. Katrina and I send our deepest sympathies at this time.

From speaking to you last week, it was only a matter of time, but still a shock and the saddest of news nonetheless.

As a support group, you know the guys & gals here are simply the best.. and if there's anything we can do, you only have to ask..

Our thoughts are with you at this time..

Al & Katrina.

Hi Andy mate. Very sorry to hear this sad news - please accept my deepest sympathies. I realised from talking to you earlier that your mum was very unwell, but nevertheless bereavement comes as a terrible shock. Hope to see you on the 29th if not before. Call or PM me for a chat in the meantime.

All the best, Chris.

Although no-one's quite figured out why he needs a tub of Vaseline for a simple spelling test. Especially one so BIG!!!

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else will be taking kids along?

Was thinking of coming along but will have the missus and two small ones (the kids) with me.

Cheers,

MichaelH.

Personally speaking it depends on the babysitter situation at the time.

However, we did some extensive 'research' *hic* to find a pub that was child friendly. There's an indoor (and outdoor, but not at this time of the year!!!) play area, which is right next to where Al's gonna be pre-booking our seating, so keeping an eye on the little 'uns isn't a problem. Chances are there will be a couple of kids there, so don't let it put you off coming.

Michael, as Sticky say's the venue was chosen as the old one went child unfriendly.. my 12 year old lad will be coming as will a few others no doubt.. there should be few ladies too, so you're more than welcome..
