18th September Timed Handling Sprint £30 per car for the day.
Scun-thorpe UTD Football stadium, just off the M180.
This is a new first time event run by a local MSA affiliated car club and is
open to anyone with a road legal, taxed, tested car on road tyres. You can
sign on from 9am-10am on the day, and the event is limited to 50 cars max,
on a first come basis. Timed runs start at 10.30am. You can also pre-enter
by emailing me for details on how to pre pay and reserve your place. The
event will be run in 3 classes, fwd, rwd, 4wd, and will have a trophy for
fastest time in each class. You will get a minimum of 4 timed runs, toilets
and catering will be provided on site and spectators are welcome (no
charge). Any profits made on the day are going to a local charity for
underprivileged children. I would encourage club members to support this
event and take part or at least come and spectate. The sprint will take
place on a large open tarmac carpark using small lightweight cones and a
tight /twisty handling circuit, one car at a time. A minimum of 30 cars are
required so please try and support the event in its first time of running.
Gates open at 8am.
cheers

its not an autotest, just a timed handling course with a stop line finish. so far i think there are around 20 cars confirmed but they do need more, so people can come down on the day and sign on etc from 9am, bring a license, helmet and your car docs

What was up with the GT4 ?
Who owns the silver type R ? didn't get to see him but he needs to sort out his seat belts ASAP, they are currently bolted down about 8" behind the seats, which will result in the seat and his spine taking a huge load if he were to have an accident.
http://www.motorsport.org.nz/Pdf/Scr...0FivePartB.pdf page 15 shows the minimum requirements.
the rear seat lap belt mountings usually provide an ideal place to fit them using standard seat belt eye bolts.

Mick the CofC had a top run at lunch with 1min1sec but the clock wasn't running on his previous go which was much tidier
thought the Mx5 stood up well to the abuse ... they are well built

the mx5 was just bought between two of us for a cheap trackday fun car, seems to go quite well, bog std and the suspension is well soft! got some abuse on the day and took it quite well! lol
andys 200 turbo is well quick, shame he never got it out of first/2nd gear as they are low boost gears. car runs 12.2s 128mph on the 1/4m!
see you again at one of those events i hope!
