Default FAO - west yorkshire ...urgent help req'd

In desparate need of help...

Have any of you guys had dealings with Enkahnz body specialists or H&I Auto's of Bradford.

I have bought an engine from from Enkahnz in good faith to replace my engine with crankshaft failure, H&I fitted the replacement ...and 6miles down the road after collecting it, the replacement failed with headgasket failure..... Neither wish to take responsibility.

So , if you buy parts from them, or get work done ...if they fail, you could be in the same position as me.

I understand i have bought a 2nd hand engine, but i cudnt afford a full rebuild. Now i have nothing, and no running car.

If you can be of any assistance, please email my as per my profile.

Do any of you know of a silver 93wrx, from that area ??? H1? WRX as that was the donor vehicle.

Many Thanks ...

Frank

That sucks mate.. there has to be some sort of comeback on one or both of them.. I dont suppose there was any receipts or guarantees given with the work or the engine ?

Whilst i never got a formal reciept, as i paid cash ............ i did get the supplier to sign a document to say he had carried out the replacement.

Ive contacted Trading Standards, and waiting fot them to call back.

Im gutted cos i had to borrow the money to get the replacement done, now ive got to pay that back, and no car.. and cant raise the cash to repair this......... Snookered as they say.

bad luck mate,it may be wise to check on here first in future and if you dont get any joy there is always more than one way to skin a cat.usually a big banner and a few willing friends hanging around outside there workshop usually upsets them to start with

I take it no joy then Frank?

Let's burn 'em... not really but let's at least make sure no one else buys any parts off them unless they suddenly decide to do the right thing.

i didnt see the plates, only the tax disc, and it looked like a 2, making it H12, but it could have been a 5.......... do you know anything??? the vehicle was involved in a left side collision.

No, Dave .... having no joy. i'll give you a call.

If he did the right thing, i would be the first to sing his praise. But at the moment it looks like im gonna have to do it the long way.(Trading standards & solicitor) As a so called good will gesture, he offered me the headers off my old car...

Bttt.....hopefully as many as possible will read this.

Looks like neither garage are prepared to budge ...the supplier have offered me the headers as a so called good-will gesture...but as for anything else, he has told me to 'do what i have to'.. as for the garage that fitted it, their response is 'not our problem' ......

In the meantime, Anybody know how to change a head gasket??? any offers of guidance most greatfully welcomed.
