Cool SMACS Brigade! Time for a drive!

Allright fellas!

I'm getting itchy feet (no jokes about seeing a Dr, OK!).............its time for a drive! Get some names on here and we'll sort a route out.

Lets give Chris a rest for once and let him just turn up and drive instead of arranging everything for us lot!

Who's in? What day? Where shall we go?

Count me in Pete. Is this an evening or Weekend? Sunday may be a problem for me as I am Dublin bound on the early flight on Monday. Not back till Tues evening.
Isnt it first wed of month next week? Evenings getting lighter now.

Pete, your too kind and thoughtful m8, cheers

the pressures off for me to perform at last, hehe.
I'm up for a spin this sunday, should hopefully have my full set of new brakes by then so have to get some miles in b4 I can really leather it
I'll stay at the back with the marks, and watch my suspension over the bumps

prefer an evening run out myself, as I am at pro sport in the day for the big rolling road event.

see you sunday, + like super says, next wednesday too, think about doing the route from last time in reverse, but without the stops, as I have to be in work for 21:36 !

chris.

I'm running first on sunday, so I've got to be there for 9 am!
check out www.22b.com for details of who is running in the rolling road and trackday forum,
see you sunday,

you certainly will super, I'll post the result on sunday.
so, after all that idle banter about sundays rolling road day, have we come to a decision yet about a drive out on sunday
come on pete, your supposed to be organising this: time: venue: route: list of runners so far:

madscientist
cw42

anymore?
might be a snowy one again, anyone for donuts
I know a quiet place in marple, anyone know somewhere a little less public?

chris. (estimating 240 bhp, which is only 25bhp over standard! and the exhaust is supposed to give me around 30bhp more on its own, nevermind the downpipe and panel filter!)

pps, ok, quick game then: guess my horsepower
nearest one gets a drink off me. I have no idea what mine is putting out as DaveW, who owned the car previously, never had it rolling roaded!
Mods are: ScoobySport downpipe, lagged
BPM 3” center section

BPM Twister 3 backbox with bung
hks panel filter

I'll guess 245 bhp

now your turn:

Right. Well it seems that people decided on today. Dai hailed me down in Poynton yesterday and said he fancied tonight and Chris said the same. Thing is.......I can't do tonight really! Moving house tomorrow and i've loads to do. Spent all day yesterday changing a track rod on the Mrs' Focus.......I wellied it into a curb in the snow! Took me hours to get the damn thing off as it was tight as and had no flats for a spanner. Ended up with the wishbone and anti-roll bar off.

Anyway......I was thinking more of organising for Wednesday evening. About 1900 at H and H then off through Macc to the Cat and Fiddle and Long hill. Not been up there for a while.

Let me know.

ok, runs all done, first on the rollers, and a massive 255 bhp and 259 lb ft torque! which was nice.
not the most powerful there by far, but nice to know all the same, nice morning, and a great bunch of lads there, big thanks to pete and giles at prosport for strapping us all down safely,
chris.

hi pete, nevermind about tonight m8, thanks for the thought of organising a run tonight, I'll leave it up to you for wednesday then.
So, whos up for tonight? I fancy doing the last run we did with the yorkshire scoobs in reverse, so maybe can meet mark around the ford inn, rather than you coming all the way over here m8. How about meeting at the train station in glossop first, then along the B6105 to the reservoir, along woodhead a bit, then climb up holme moss, drop down to digle reservoir, meet up with *****, and then he can take us through to Holmfirth and on to strines moor road. then either vale of edale, or the snake, im easy!
Let me know soon though, want to be out at 7pm.
chris.

missed a nice long drive andy, roads were treacherous, ice, snow, grit, salt, you name it, we flew over it at 70!
stuffed it going into the first big corner at strines moor road off the a616, heh.
abs kicked in, and steered me straight into the bank, no damage, just a little off!
you out on wednesday?

Good run last night, that road through Strines is a cracker.

Blitz "co-driver" style comentary was great but you need to learn the difference between "flat left" and "90 left".

My ABS was not so great, and I almost has CW42 as bonnet ornament on several occaisons.

See you all Weds for more of the same. Roll on the lighter evenings.
