Following a bit of advice from a post in the General Technical forum.......
Are there any decent Subaru specialists in the Teesside area (I'm actually in Guisborough if anyone knows where that is

If I were you, I would have a word with Champions Garage in Castleton. They specialise is Subaru rally cars and have done all the servicing on my MY01.
Ask for Joyce or Ryan and say that Martin Metcalfe from Tyne Tees Scoobies has recommended them to you.
They will look after you.

Thanks very much Martin, it is much appreciated. Servicing was always a concern for me. I know that Jennings are opening a Suabaru dealership soon but I have bad experiences with Jennings Ford's service departement.
What I'm after particularly at the moment as I'm looking for my first scoob, is someone in the know that can properly check them over as they will all feel quick to me
