Question

Hi
Looks like I'm going to get the bums rush this afternoon, but still needed here tomorrow. No point in driving home to the Forest of Dean 170 miles of M6/M5 (deep joy).

So any recomendations for a drive around the Preston area (done the Trough of Boland) with a good pub somewhere on route?

Thanks

How much of the Trough have you done ?
A good route is to head for Slaidburn the take the back roads to High Bentham then join the A65 and head for Settle.
Then depending on time etc head for Malham (short route) or Arncliffe (medium route) or Horton then Hawes (Long route).
All loop back to Skipton then its home via the A59.

All are top driving roads - Enjoy

Tempting.... very tempting. I shall have to start negotiations with 'she who must be obeyed' (she's been muttering about 'decorating', 'clearing the garage', that sort of thing - shudder!). Still, she enjoyed the (very short) fast bit of the recent Blackpool run, so who knows...

Ditto for the "Raid".

Thanks

But got roped into a meeting all afternoon.
Will have to try the extended routes another day.

Also only up north (from sheep country) mid week, Tue Wed overnights, which normally means I miss out on all the meets and runs (wonderfull)
Regards

LOL @ White Tornado.
I'm in the same boat mate, but her indoors works shifts so my weekends end up in a plethora of nappy changes etc
Tell her your off to the tip after clearing a bit of the garage.
Return a few hours later with a tale about it being shut and having to go 130 miles to the next one etc etc etc
You'll get a ear bashing, but she'll calm down eventually

See you on Sunday
