Just tried to book my car in today to have the brakes done....doah!!!

Spoke to Bob who says they were issued with redundancy papers yesterday evening.

Hope everything works out okay for all the guys

They were only advertising for a technician a couple of weeks back, too.

 

Wonder what happened? Theyve only been open for a short while...

 

Tried to book mine in yesterday evening and got the news.

Mainland are the only other people I trust to carryout work on my car.

May i recommend Stan Palmers in Carlisle if anyone`s looking for a dealer to trust.........well i do anyway

 

Yeah,but that's over a 100 miles from some of us and we know that cos some of us have driven up there to test one of their ecutek equipped cars and I know I like my car an all that but sadly not enough to drive over a 100 miles for a service.....
I ain't happy now that my car might have to go to the stuck up tw@ts at Monks Heath.Champagne drinkers with lemonade money springs to mind....

Nick your f#cked if them lovely people at Monks Heath read Scoobynet, i've never had a problem with them, they are first rate.

Keep your eyes open for certain staff working at the New Subaru dealership opening in Wigan.

Fooook me, can't believe it, Thought it would have been given a longer chance than that.

Must of been officially opened for about 12 months.

A&J White in Blackburn give a superb service. Nick and the lads over there will not let you down (i got my first scoob there)

I know its a bit far for the Warrington/L'pool lads but they will look after you and given a bit of notice will give you a coutesy car for the day/overnight.

The one in North Wales is called Threeways and it is in Abergele.

I think this one is very successful (coz of all the farmers buying Legacy outback's )

I have been down there a few times and found them to be very helpful and polite..........unlike a few others i could mention eh NICK

Used to have to travel to Winsford for a service on one of the old cars and the wife hated it. One of the reasons I was 'allowed' a scoob was because of the local dealers. She'll go berserk when she hears

Monks Heath is probably nearest for me, group buy anyone? Abergele, Newcastle-under-Lyme, soon subaru won't have to split their website by region.

There is a motor parc (sp) at one end of Preston City Docklands, we had a Subaru dealership there once before - for about a week!

Why is everyone worried about main dealers?

Go to Halfords for your servicing needs, they know their stuff!

You can look around their shop whilst they work on your car, get yourself some performance goodies, like towbars, flashing dustcaps, Tweetie Pie mudflaps with matching floor mats, and BadBoy stickers. I always try and pick up a tin of that "spray on splattered flys" for that, "Ive been fast" look.

Ask nicely and Zippy will lend you his "frequent users discount card".

On a serious note, some traveller friends of mine are wondering when the Mainland site will be vacated. As they are being evicted from Otterspool in a couple of weeks. Keep me posted.
