ELVINGTON ??? anyone know if its mainley cars or loads of bikes, cheers alan,

 

its york dragway, not elvington airfield.
york dragway (melbourne) is about 10 mins further on from elvington and is a seperate airfield.

my mate is there now in a rwyb and has just done 12.4s 120mph (white maestro turbo!)

 

what time ? and is there an admissision charge?
plus where is it e mail me directions please.

 

how for is it from York city centre?

i wouldnt mind going, do you have to pay to get in?

one or two of our club cars went, best was 11.8s (golf 4wd turbo)
my mates maestro did 12.4s 122mph again!

Which golf was that? I was there with a group of 306 rallyes and came up against a very silly quick golf with bonnet pins in it. Never stood a chance. In fact it was very dissappointing as I could only get a 15.8, which was my first run, I got slower the harder I tried . Another cople of rallyes got 14.8s along with a Mi converted 205.

theres not many golfs run around 11s 1/4s! lol
its green flip metallic with huge arches/wheels and a 2.2 5cyl audi quattro turbo engine, 4wd system and nitrous!

 

that'll be the one then, atleast I shouldn't be too upset he beat me . there was another modded golf around, but that didn't appear to be as quick.
