I know exactly what you mean about folk round here not waving. We must convert them! The offer is still there Gus if you need a hand to change the bits. Broke my record yesterday! Down to 3.5 hours! Still managed to lose spanner though. Any signs Abby?

Mark,
I havent been able to get hold of a used downpipe so it looks like I will have to get in touch with H&S and buy a new one as I already have an uppipe sitting in the garage I will fit them both at the same time will I need new gaskets?? and some exhaust wrap for the uppipe if you let me know then I can order what I need only 9 weeks to go until the NBO NEED TO GET IT FITTED BEFOR THEN.

You shouldn't need new gaskets. If you get some heat proof tape i've got the spray to seal it. You have to take the dp off to fit the up. Could be a long session this one!

Gussy, see this for exhaust wrap
http://www.proven-products.co.uk/products/cooltek.htm
got me 10metres for a classic downpipe, had 2or3 metres left over.

Mark, no spanner yet, found the rattle i mentioned, its when braking and turning right that part of the centre section is touching the car, will need the exhaust wrap left at your mates gaff, think a well placed lump of it will solve the problem

Hi

Know what you mean re scoobs not waving

I propose an official CUMBRIAN SCOOBS RECRUITMENT DRIVE ******

we have about 15 <regulars > which is great really but our rivals the TYNE TEES SCOOBS have 25 -30

Due to the NBO meeting which is getting bigger than ever now ,and the many other projects im involved in !! im sure i can find a few hours to kick-start it off but i will need some help .

Rusty is allready starting to go to print on the flyers for the advertising campagn and ive got a few ideas up my sleeve I propose it for the next month

how about

GRAB A CUMBRIAN SCOOBY*********

would you like the next meeting on wednesday 23 April as i cant
make the 30th ?

Mark/rusty,
Cheers for the info I phoned both Wendy and H&S in the end could not wait any longer and ordered a new H&S downpipe stocks of exhaust wrap has run out at proven products until at least next week will 10 meters worth be enough Mark!! then the big question when to fit.The pit in the garage is cleaned out the wife is under strict instructions to keep a fresh supply of coffee on tap and bandages close at hand and the kids out of my way and out of ear shot..

Full de-cat on mine now. Hillside garage fitted it today.

Bit louder but I 've not had a chance to gun it yet to see if it feels any different.

It smells a lot different as well

Smells like a rally car now with all the unburnt fuel coming out the back. Now, who has a Dawes I can buy!

How loud is it Steve? - the ScoobyWorld website says full Afterburner de-cat for my Sport would be 103db

Is the noise limit at Croft not 97db?

I'm going to take my standard back-box to Croft just in case but my mate who runs a de-catted EVO 6 TME had no worries last year.

I'll borrow the sound meter from work and see how loud it is John
