There's a beer in it from me for anyone who turns up.
The last time I saw my brother alive was at the last one of these meets and but for that meet I might not have seen him so I'm celebrating for him tonight.
First beer's on me!

Come on, spill the beans. What happened then? What led up to the company IYHO? There, but before the grace of God go I I would have been with you if I hadn't got sidetracked with family matters last night.

watch out for the silver omega, m60 brand new
ianc, i thought there would have been a thread saying skoda for sale today, a ban would have been lucky mate. If it was me I would have been shot at the side of the road.
gaz
p.s launching yourself from 90 to light speed from the side of him in about 5 seconds probably didnt help!!)

<gulp> <waves> hi all....
still here..... just!
Simply put, I was driving too quickly, Jim and myself were doing a fair pace when Jim pulled off, and I carried on at the same sort of speed.
As we passed the cars coming onto the junction, I noted a Pug 106 with viper stripes and silly alloys, and as I passed the sliproad noticed some blue xenon \ superlight bulbs amongst the cars.
I assumed it was the 106, I was wrong. Saw the Omega and thought nothing of it (doh!)
I waited for Avi to catch up, then booted it. Lets just say that even Q cars can be made pretty obvious to our friends in blue.
Approaching the next turnoff he came up behind me, all lights flashing, very pretty.
I was done for 90, offered 3 points and a £60 fine, which I dutifully took.
The officer was very fair, he knew I had been faster, but did not patronise, and did not drag me off to the cells as maybe he should.
Gaz, the little Skoda certainly can't do those sort of speeds downhill with a following wind, you must have been mistaken, feel free to edit your post accordingly.
So, recommendation to all, the Vauxhall Omega, in light gold, very nice, and quite rapid in the right hands, you have been warned.
Ian (who has learnt his lesson, and frustrated lots of peeps by doing dead on 70 everywhere today)

it was all jims fault, ian, nothing you could do mate - just sorry i didnt ring you earlier to warn you, as I thought it may have been our "friends" in blue.
jim, only joking pal, had a good laugh b4 `the incident` by the way i think we were at 130
thats 1.30 the time, not the speed officer - honest

Had an incident on the M62 a while back where i was in the scoob and passing traffic at 85mph, had a merc 3 inches off me bumper so thought about wasting it but couldnt be arsed (good job too!) the car we passed (me slowly, him quickly) was a P reg 2ltr omega, i think the bugger was supercharged or something cos it didnt half move when i pulled over and this merc (only a 220 BTW) flew past (good job i wasnt up for a blast eh! ) and mr plod pulled him very shortly afterwards (shame he missed me doing 130mph later on then ) on a quiet bit of private road before anyone asks
