Right .. I know it seems a while off but the shows will be upon us before we know it.


I thought it might be an idea to get a list together of what we have and what people think we might need

I have ...

2 3x3 Gazebos - Donated by club Members -GIAS has them

A Barbecue - inc tools, frying pan and everything else we need for it - Borrowed from Baz

A large kettle - Borrowed from baz

Six fold up chairs -JDM/GIAS/Yatesy

one fold up table - donated by JDM for club use.

What has everyone else got or thinks we may need?

If you have things that you think we can use then we definates please... not I might be able to... If people think we might need more chairs then the club will have to see to it

Please remember it has to be things that you can get in your car as we dont have the van we had for Doncaster now and I cant guarrantee I will be able to get Bazs van

i have a couple of fold up chairs i can bring to the shows.

and also a small stove too as used at trackdays and a mini kettle

I also have a 5litre container for water if we need it...

I would suggest a washing up bowl might be of use for the cups and plates when doing the weekenders. Tea towels washing up liquid.

Would cheekily suggest a donations box as per the club funds thread i think to even to donate money or items would be a great benefit yet if some members do events then to have access to the equipment will benefit us all greatly.

Cuttlery , Pots , Extra tables and chairs , Umbrellas handy incase of sunshowers , Beer fridge or Cool Box even.

Im sure theres more to think of

Good idea about the washing up bowl.. anyone got a spare one?

 

i have 3 fold up chairs and i also have a subarun flag which i am taking to mick c s tonight to try it on the pole he has thats a flag pole not a dancing pole

i also have 1000 paper plates and plastic cups and loads of cutlery and serviettes, so we dont need worry about washing plates just cups i am awaiting price on brollies hopefully have some for next meeting along with the fleeces and t shirts on order

 

I want a brolly please.

Anyone think we need anything else

 

We have a round table and a small square one, and we always have a couple of chairs in the car. Don't forget we have the club banner and frame. Plus poles for the bunting.

 

I dont think we need a donation box steve ... people have already paid their subs Also I think those that are donating already are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts... We dont want to start moaning about the cost of a beefburger given to a non member do we.. what about being the friendly club an odd beefburger here or there for people who are interested in joining a club who DONT already belong to a club I dont see a problem with ... We can make sure our hospitality isnt abused but we dont need people showing their membership cards at the barbecue to get a burger

We've sorted the electric out ... just need to sort the lights now Doesnt seem to be many camping though

 

We have been lucky in a few members have donated things, the other things are supplied for by the club subs.

We never put any money on an event to aid club funds. The rolling road day, lunches, etc etc are all done at the cost they are to us. We dont make any money out of them

 

The teas and coffees suplied at Elvington are done so out of the pockets of a few members not club funds... this is something that 'may' be looked into.

The club runs solely on the subs at the moment, even though we are the cheapest subs this includes publicity etc at shows, ie supplying burgers to prospective members who are not members of other clubs

Any large purchases will always be voted on by members

 

Just taken delivery of second gazebo ... Thank you to those members who have donated to us
