Talking Invite from the WYIOC - Trackday Sat 29th March

I'd like to extend an invite from the WYIOC to the NYSOC to our bi-annual trackday at Blyton. All the details are on < THIS LINK > and I do hope many of you can make it along. A few of your members are already signed up but it would be great to welcome more of you. It really is the cheapest trackday and the most fun and friendly you'll find.

Post interest here or on the link above, deposit and payment details also on the link.

Thanks for the invite Dave. Unfortynately we already have a club event organised. With the sunday lunch and the Rolling Road Day at Scoobyclinic coming up shortly members are conscious of cost at the moment.

Hope you mange to fill the spare spaces you have left for your members, thus bringing the cost down

Claire

As David has said some of the NYSOC members have already commited to the track day too ? so maybe some of your members are able to do both.

Filling spaces and bringing the cost down is not our aim here, it is to try and get as many like minded people to the event, SMACS and Hull scoobs were in attendance last year to name just two

This is a superb event and the best value for money track experience you will find, If our NYSOC neighbours can make it I am sure you won't be dissapointed.

As I say Mick we already have a joint club event with Tyne Tees Scoobs organised and it wouldnt be fair to let them down.

I am aware that Davesti350 and Semo are attending the Track day and wish them a good day

Thanks for the invite Dave.

I'm sure that all the members who are not going to revoltion may come and take up this superb oppurtunity to either drive their own car on track. Or simply come along to watch as it is fantastic and spectacular fun not only will i be taking my subaru i will also be taking the sierra XR4i COSWORTH and with it being only £10 pounds for additional drivers.... Well it simply can't be missed.... SO COME ON AND ENJOY And please remember ALL NYSOC MEMBERS I ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE SEAT NEXT TO ME...

So much fun All for an amazing price....

The last time I drove competitively at Blyton was in 1997 and if my memory serves me well it was great fun, a little mickey mouse in places and some of the "offs" were a little hairy, as in big drops off the runway.
Well worth a look-see I would say.

If you're ever gonna track it then Blyton's the place. We run a strict 5 cars on, no overtaking rule, so you're always able to place yourself in your own space away from others and can build your speed as your experience and confidence grows. On the usual free-for-all open pit lanes on the more professional trackdays you can fully expect some 17yo in a Paxo to understeer into the side of you or some IT exec to loose their Boxster and wipe out 3-4 others. At our Blyton days the only incidents are when one person makes their own mess, and you could do that just as well on the public road with an unknown route, unpredictable surface and unlimited other traffic of questionable ability. Also, if you want tuition it can be arranged. Rallydrive has several well seasoned professional rally and race drivers on hand and I can arrange a half day for £150, which can be shared if you rustle up a few others interested.
