We live in a cottage with a small back garden with SW outlook. There is a small lawn which we try to keep tidy. Last summer we re-turfed it and it looked pretty good.

But months of rain seems to have finished it off It hasn't flooded as such but has just been sodden throughout. There are now large bare mud patches and an infestation of some small leaved weed - like miniature watercress - which is taking over.

Has anyone else got lawns that look like they are finished?

Is there anything I can do come the Spring/Summer?

Start again, and hope for better weather.
But DO remove all the weeds first.

Yes, parts of my garden look like the Somme,

But will reseed in the next 4 weeks and let Mother Nature do the rest
