Official SN policy announcement!
Following the closure of the "Slag" (only on SN) thread, it is pretty obvious (to me) that official policy of SN is that F1 always gets the "last word".
Those of us who take the time to read F1's musings will note that F1 is fairly careful not to give away too much personal information - I for one laud him in this regard. There are some serial "trotters" on here who would do well to take time to reflect IMO - if not for their own sake, then perhaps for that of members of their family.
However, the Sherlock Holmes in me, having disregarded all that is not possible, can come only arrive at one final question from all of this.
FI - are you a married woman?

F1 fan is primarily the cause of the "no wonder this forum is going downhill" comments. He doesn't debate, he bullies. Would be a much nicer place without him posting.

He's the Forum spider, you don't really want him in the house but as he's great at keeping other pests at bay it's worth putting up with him.

Let's face it with out the hardcore regulars winding up the newbys this forum would die
It's not as if there is anything to talk about regarding subarus is it apart from 2.5 chocolate engines and a few rusty classics
Even dump values are quite at the moment

He's a misunderstood genius he makes the place that little bit more interesting, comes out with some very funny take downs but is actually quite a nice bloke, if your an **** to him he'll be one to you and even if your not maybe he will still be an ****.
At least he makes a contribution and starts threads that lead to a good debate / slanging match, where as the vast majority of haters don't have an original thought between them and generally come up with **** all to make the place a bit more interesting, instead they just b!tch and whine like spoilt little girls.
Myself and many others (even the haters) would miss him if he were to leave, it's all part of what makes this place what it is, if you don't like him don't engage with him or read his threads/posts.

Then again, there are some pumped up and jumped up delirious cyber trolls who don't care what people on internet think of them. They think that everyone posting here is as false as them; hiding behind the mask of anonymity. As Dunk says, f1 puts that sort right.
f1 may slip here and there sometimes, but at least he has a courage to take it on the chin for that.Please count me in, in f1 Appreciation Society.
