Virgin Media at it again

Virgin Media at it again
i took out a contract for broad band only in spring this year at £22.50 which seems expensive as they have gone from £17.50 in about 4 years.
Since i took the contract out they have now twice written to me and said they are putting the cost up so now is should be paying £27 for their most basic broadband package with no other services or phone!
Again buried in the small print at the bottom of the last page is the statment that i dont have to accept the price increase and can terminate my contract early at no cost so that is an option but i am so disappointed that a company offers a contract and twice with in 8 months tried to increase the cost by a total of 20% when inflation is abut 3%

My virgin media Tv package is free as its the smallest one they do, basicly freeview so they can't charge for it but it does have all the on demand stuff with catch up channels. Also we have internet and telephone. I think we pay about 35 quid all in, including phone calls. Also we save about 8 quid a month on triple loyalty pack. So if you have all three and been with them a while, its worth a phone call...

I just cancelled my triple service with them yesterday.
Sooo damn fed up of talking to their Indian call centre!!
Got all manner of discounts offered by their cancellations girl wh was UK based, but I've been contemplating doing this for too long so going ahead with a swicth-over to BT .

Every one of these type of places are they same, they all offer the same thing, they are all out to get you're money, what offers they give you with one hand they will take it away with the other whether through price increases or hidden charges, your just as well picking one and sticking with it.

Mine is 32.75 at the moment, they expect to at least double it within 6 months.
I agree with the TV comments: it really is not worth watching now, unless you are willing to fork out for a TiVo box and miss out all the adverts.
The average American one hour show is 42 minutes, including titles/ending. The average half hour show is 20 minutes.
They have so much space for adverts they can't fill it, and are left using five minutes at a time advertising their own programmes...which is tedious in the extreme.

I also got a letter a few days ago saying from Feb 1st they are upping my bill by £7 a month... I don't think so some how! - It was only last week and told them I want them to lower my bills or I'm leaving so I will just do the same again, cheeky sods they are!
