Just saw the new Ben Stiller take on an old film. Got invited to a special Cineworld early viewing, security guards on camera watch just in case.

The film is well shot but a bit cheesy and over produced for my liking but with some good music. It's like a long "lifestyle" advert.

For me Ben Stiller tries romcom and fails.

 

I quite liked it, was a bit odd at times but a lot of it reminded me of the snowboard films with the soundtrack and filming.
Basically it's never to late to live your dreams, don't fantasise about it, get out there and live, think that sums the film up, the very end was especially cheesy

There was a very long trailer for it when I watched gravity last week

Anyway, not what I was hoping it was going to be, 47 Ronin would have been good, thought this was odd as they already have it a month before the others

 

I saw the long trailer before Gravity to, I wonder if it's not expected to do well but they are pushing it anyway?

 

They should got Ps Lewis.

 

Me too, although I said to the wife that the extended trailer has probably shown the best bits of the movie.

 

My mate got invited to a free screening at the Nottingham Cineworld. He said that a lot of people got up and walked out as soon as they saw the title of the film.

My mate states that the only reason he stayed was because they gave him free chocolate. Apart from that, it sounds like a classic film has been murdered.

 

I went to the Hollywood Premiere of this as I know Ben Stiler personally (I went to college with him and Cameron Diaz) and afterwards we met John Travolta and he flew me back to Manchester in his 737!

 

 

Pretty much the same reaction in Cardiff, many left but two bars of choccy made the misses happy and I can pack them up as pressies for the neices and nephews .

 

 

It is based on PS Lewis I believe....

 

Not really as his fantasy is real!
